DS reports OCR B physics paper 2 was "fine". That's it. All done! He's off to have some fun Grin

raspberryrippleicecream · 22/06/2016 13:14

DD reports Physics awful. Oh dear. Just one more to go.....

flatmouse · 22/06/2016 14:42

Oh no raspberry, sorry to hear that. Hopefully that was a knee jerk reaction, and on reflection it won't have been that bad.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/06/2016 15:25

oh no raspberry, I bet he has done better than he feared.

catslife · 22/06/2016 16:05

Anyone else have a dc still revising. DT product design on Monday?
So hard that this exam is so late!
Pleased that most of your dcs have found exams OK.
We have sixth form taster day on Friday.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/06/2016 16:11

dd is doing a couple of papers a day for FM that's it. She came out with me for an errand for a couple of hours and is now playing a game on her laptop. I feel as though we are in limbo, can't quite relax until Friday is done.

228agreenend · 22/06/2016 20:33

Yes, dis has dt on Monday. Not sure how much revision he's done,,though. He seems to have switched off a little.

I've just watched the school buses sail past the window. For some reason that is the thing that has brought it home to me that he has actually left, it's not just another holiday. School is continuing as normal but we're not part of it.

That's my deep thought for today, I'll get on with the ironing before I make myself miserable.

TheSecondOfHerName · 23/06/2016 09:06

DS1 has to go in for one morning at the end of June, to return textbooks and attend an information seminar about the sixth form.

SignedUpAgain · 23/06/2016 09:56

My DS has his last exam today, - been a long slog, but hopeful some decent results, or at least enough to get him back for next year.

Most of his year will intend to stay on I expect, so there are no parties, or leaving ceremonies or anything really. Anyway he is back on a plane tonight as he's been away training and only came back for the exam today.

JWIM · 23/06/2016 12:11

Icouldbeknitting that was the same thought I had on Friday afternoon. DS had to hand in his bus pass and I picked him up from his last exam and drove back passed the pick up point where he has got on/off - and it suddenly dawned on me that that was the end of the school bus run. Funny the small, mundane things that also mark the end of an era.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2016 13:10

That's dedicated SignUp!

dd finishes school tomorrow. End of an era.But the start of a new one.

One sleep to go!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2016 18:43

Still one sleep to go. What with the weather, the vote and dd having her final exam, leaving school and prom tomorrow I'm all of a blither and my stomach is in utter knots.

say soothing things please!

chocolateworshipper · 23/06/2016 18:50

shhhhhh kitten - all is well. Just relax - you are feeling sleepy ...

Wine Chocolate

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2016 18:52

I shall put on some soothing music.

Icouldbeknitting · 23/06/2016 21:04

It will all be over soon. Survive it one hour at a time, there's nothing you can do about the vote so cross that off the list of things to worry about. Soon you will be a giddy kitten with all of this behind you.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2016 21:18

nearly there aren't I

chocolateworshipper · 23/06/2016 21:36

not pathetic at all kitten

Flowers
OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2016 21:58

Thank you :)

marmiteloversunite · 23/06/2016 22:18

Good luck for tomorrow Kitten. Nearly there.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 23/06/2016 22:37

DS1 has his last exam tomorrow and we are also moving house, because one of those things just wasn't enough stress for us! Hmm The referendum hasn't helped either.

So I completely sympathise with your stomach in knots, kitten.

I am so looking forward to the weekend.
