EllenJanethickerknickers · 13/06/2016 16:00

Oh dear, Socks. Puts it all into perspective. Flowers

DS2 says Catering was... you've guessed it... 'OK.'

TheSecondOfHerName · 13/06/2016 17:07

Sorry to hear about those going through bereavements after losing family members.

TheDrsDocMartens · 13/06/2016 17:27

Sorry to hear about the bereavements.

I read for catering this afternoon , seemed quite straightforward, colours of chopping boards, improving fibre and reducing fat.
Wondered about the how to be economic running a restaurant ( can't remember exact question) but I guess they're taught

derektheladyhamster · 13/06/2016 18:59

Flowers socks
Food tech, chemistry & physics this week, 2x further maths next week. I have not heard from DS all weekend, it's slightly driving me crazy, I'm just hoping he's done enough revision, we're up to 99% on Tassomai, but he hasn't done any over the last week ...

chocolateworshipper · 13/06/2016 19:13

So sorry for your loss sock. As has been mentioned - if you tell the school, they should apply to the exam board for special consideration

EllenJanethickerknickers · 13/06/2016 19:50

Oh dear, DocMarten, I've just quizzed DS2 on his Catering and he didn't answer the fibre one correctly and his ideas on reducing fat consisted of using low fat ingredients! And he didn't give any examples. Sigh!

Shiney and Socks Flowers

FantasyAndHope · 13/06/2016 20:49

Lucky coco DD has 6 left

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/06/2016 21:15

I don't think dd will manage to finish Tassomai. She's done 35% of it in two days. Not bad given it seems to be a years course, but she will have to work hard tomorrow Grin

thesockgap · 13/06/2016 21:36

Thanks all for your good wishes. I have been in touch with the Exams Officer at his school today, she was very kind and advised me to send a letter in outlining the details, and she will then apply for special consideration for him. He had to sit his Geography 2 the day after it happened and then there were a few more last week, as well as this week's final lot. Feel so awful for him as he feels he's got to focus on revision rather than grieving :(

ExitPursuedByBear · 13/06/2016 22:23

Poor love.

Dd is horrified to find out that History is tomorrow afternoon not morning. Which has reduced her Chemistry revision time.

Sigh.

littledrummergirl · 13/06/2016 23:35
Flowers

Ds1 has chemistry on Wednesday, physics on Friday and... that's it. It will all be over. Grin
He has stayed remarkably relaxed through most of it (bar the odd meltdown ) and showed a maturity I have never managed.

Prom on Friday and then the year group are off to a theme park next week so hopefully he will make some fun memories.

swingofthings · 14/06/2016 05:56

Hope your son and you are ok socks. I expect it will hit you hard when the exams are over so take care of yourself afterwards x

BitOutOfPractice · 14/06/2016 06:44

Just wanted to give you another unMNy squeeze socks Thanks

History here today which is DD's best subject. She's hoping Votes for Women comes up as the compulsory question.

chocolateworshipper · 14/06/2016 07:04

Physics on Friday, but according to DD's boyfriend there won't be any boys at the revision session on Thursday afternoon!
