Hello everyone, new thread for the final push.

OP posts:
TheSecondOfHerName · 13/06/2016 00:19

DS1 only has one History paper (Tuesday afternoon) and then he's done. He has joined a gym and is planning to start looking for a summer job. Results seem like a really long way away, but it will probably go quicker than I'm expecting.

ShanghaiDiva · 13/06/2016 06:26

Good luck for this week. Sounds like for many of us this is the last week - hurrah!
Ds finishes on Wednesday.

Tulips1 · 13/06/2016 06:38

Two left for us too - chemistry then physics can't wait for Friday.

Good luck to everyone and good luck to everyone who still has to keep going next week. When does the further maths finish? Hopefully early in the week.

Icouldbeknitting · 13/06/2016 06:43

History tomorrow, chemistry, physics, building the flatpack wardrobe and sixth form induction at the end of the month. He's got a one week summer school and a volunteering gig to keep him occupied after that. We may be doing couch to 5k together (I'll do the couch..)

228agreenend · 13/06/2016 06:58

Ds has to wear business attire for six, form induction, so went and got him a suit this weekend. Must admit, came over a wee bit emotional as he came out of the changing room looking so grown up. Didn't expect that,

Good luck to all the those with exams this week.

We've got one more I two weeks. Ds has switched off a bit. I'm trying to get him to do some each day, rather then waiting to next week.

Chemistry & General Studies 1 onWednesday, Physics on Friday, General Studies 2 next Tuesday. Absolutely cannot wait. Think I may have a considerable amount of alcohol next Tuesday.

Iwantacampervan · 13/06/2016 07:18

2 x Chemistry and 2 x Physics this week; Dance next week and Statistics on Monday 27th. We have had a very relaxed weekend as the first two exams are not until Wed afternoon. The end is now in sight.

HesMyLobster · 13/06/2016 07:20

DD has History paper 2 tomorrow, Chemistry 2 and 3 on Wednesday, Physics 2 and 3 on Friday.
Although it's 5 exams it feels less because the sciences are doubled up and they're well spread out.

Then next week Further Maths, History paper 3, Graphics, another Further Maths then all done! It's almost in sight now!

2gorgeousboys · 13/06/2016 07:26

Just two exams left here, History on Tuesday and Science on Friday. DS has been a nightmare this weekend, rude, snappy and argumentative. I think the stress is taking its toll. The mantra in our house this weekend has been "this time next week it will all be over!".

Good luck to anyone with exams today.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/06/2016 07:53

A really busy week this week for some Shock

I persuaded dd to have a lie in this morning. Think a good sleep will do her good.

hewl · 13/06/2016 08:02

dd has the same week as HesMyLobster (have you seen that film??)

then she finishes! Big party planned at friends house.

Am about to wake her up, have said she must try and stick to school hours today as I don't think she did much revision over the weekend Hmm

raspberryrippleicecream · 13/06/2016 08:03

History tomorrow, Physics Wed and Biology Friday.

Next week Chemistry and Further Maths on Monday, Fancy dress Leavers Day on Tuesday, Physics on Wednesday and Further Maths on Friday.

Glad DD isn't doing statistics Iwantacampervan.

Good luck everyone.

hewl · 13/06/2016 08:04

I wish I had stopped drinking during exams. I think the stress has got to me and I drank a good half a bottle on friday, sat and sunday night. I'm trying to lose weight as well Confused

NicknameUsed · 13/06/2016 08:11

Leavers assembly today, and study leave starts this week. Chemistry x 2 on Wednesday and Physics x 2 on Friday. Party on Saturday, then a few birthday parties, prom and after prom party, then DD's birthday, then Florida.

I need a lie down!

needastrongone · 13/06/2016 08:41

We follow a similar pattern to your guys this week. History, and 2 sciences (which I think are Chemistry and Biology). 4 exams next week then it's over!

228 Mind if I ask about where your got the suit for your DS from? DS will need one for his prom. I can only think of Next!

NorbertDentressangle · 13/06/2016 09:01

Poor DD is feeling pretty rough today with a really bad throat. Thankfully she doesn't have any exams until Wednesday (when she has 3!) and Friday but they include Physics and Chemistry so not "easy" subjects for her.

Final one is Monday.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/06/2016 09:03

oh no Norbert, I hope she feels better quickly.

NorbertDentressangle · 13/06/2016 09:07

Thank you Kitten. I think she probably could do with a week of sleep like us parents all of our DC.

JWIM · 13/06/2016 09:08

Boys Prom suits - next were very helpful and had good selection. Top Man and Debenhams not so much here. We ended up in Slaters - they are dotted around the country and have a huge selection even for skinny tall boys like DS.

Good luck to those still going this week and the next two. Get well soon for any DC under the weather. DS managing hayfever (rain today is helping) and finishes Friday - Maths and History tomorrow, double Chemistry Wed, Maths again Thurs and finally double Physics Friday. School concert and Prom next week.

Trufflethewuffle · 13/06/2016 09:17

DS3 has chemistry on Weds and physics on Friday. He decided to go into school today to revise. DS2 and I were waiting in the car for him as he flapped around getting his stuff ready which he should have done last night.
So DS3 came out of the front door last and made sure it was shut properly. When I got home I found he had dropped the latch and slammed it so I couldn't unlock it. I hadn't got a key for the back door or the French doors. Thought I'd have to get DS1 to drive home in a free period as he has the French door key.
Luckily, I went and checked the back door first and DH had left it unlocked after he took the dogs out first thing. It has been a strange start to the week as DH also realised that he has left his phone at home and has gone to London to work for the week.
I hope we all wake up properly in a minute!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/06/2016 09:27

What a kerfuffle Truffle Grin

Trufflethewuffle · 13/06/2016 10:26

At least no exams today so we can be better prepared on Weds and Friday, hopefully!

thesockgap · 13/06/2016 10:42

Into the home stretch now. Nothing today. Tomorrow: history and maths. Wednesday is 2 Chemistry papers, Thursday maths again and Friday 2 Physics papers. Poor lad had a hard time last week as my Mum died suddenly on Tuesday, it's hit him really hard but we had to be harsh with him and make him get on with revision and exams. My Mum was so proud of him and how hard he was working etc, she wouldn't want him to let it all go to waste now. So hoping that he's still done OK especially in the ones he sat last week.

ExitPursuedByBear · 13/06/2016 11:05

Oh goodness sock I am so sorry. Have you mentioned it to school?

My Dad died in April and DD was with him as he passed. I will never really know what effect that will have had on her. I pointed out that he had only read the first chapter of his book last night and she said "Thanks for pointing that out" which made me feel worse.

Hope you are OK Flowers {{{hugs}}}

NorbertDentressangle · 13/06/2016 11:44

Oh sock I'm so sorry to hear that.
