BlueStringPudding · 13/08/2015 07:36

DD has made her offer and had her place at Exeter confirmed Smile , glad the waiting is finally over, and wishing those still waiting all the best of luck...

Horsemad · 13/08/2015 07:36

DS's firm has offered him a completely different subject and his insurance has rejected him Shock

Waitingaround · 13/08/2015 07:36

Ds now U.S. Unconditional offer from York which was given on the 9th August but NO update either way from Durham- what does this mean??

Littleham · 13/08/2015 07:37

Has boy u.s!
What have they offered him horsemad

Horsemad · 13/08/2015 07:38

Means Durham are still deciding (they are notorious for taking a long time to do this)

Horsemad · 13/08/2015 07:39

Chemistry, but with the same conditions they asked for for his Comp Sci offer!

poisonedbypen · 13/08/2015 07:39

DD has an email from her insurance saying she has a place. is it worth calling her firm? I guess it depends how far off she is...

Waitingaround · 13/08/2015 07:40

Ok thanks. Ds says he doesn't care either way now...
How does your Ds feel Hirsemad?

Cooroo · 13/08/2015 07:40

DD refuses to go on Track. Setting off to school now... Not feeling hopeful.

Horsemad · 13/08/2015 07:40

Get her grades and then ring poisonedbypen.

Waitingaround · 13/08/2015 07:41

Chemistry?? Does he want to do this? Would have assumed computer science was easier

Acatcalledfluffy · 13/08/2015 07:42

I want to cry. The suspense Sad

Horsemad · 13/08/2015 07:42

He's a bit confused waiting, esp as the conditions are the same for his original offer.
He's just gone to school to get his grades and will ring his firm. He def does NOT want to do Chem!

MadameJosephine · 13/08/2015 07:43

Well done everybody!

Waiting I think Durham are known for keeping 'near misses' waiting for a while before making a decision. I would think an A* in maths would put him in a strong position for computer science though so fingers crossed

Horsemad · 13/08/2015 07:44

Ironically, Chem was his strongest subject but he went off it and we ended up having a tutor as he's lost so much ground.
He won't do a degree in it!

Redzer · 13/08/2015 07:45

poisonedbypen last year my ds also got emails from his insurance even though he got his firm.

Decorhate · 13/08/2015 07:47

Dd got her insurance. Off to get her grades soon to see how much she missed the firm by. She is disappointed I know but her insurance is still vv good imo

NorksAreMessy · 13/08/2015 07:47

DS still fast asleep and showing an infuriating lack of concern or curiosity about his future.
I have been awake sky watching until late and awake early waiting for him to get online.
WHY would he not consider his poor mother in all of this, WHY?
Two days in labour with him clearly set the tone for taking things sloooooooow and coooooooool.
AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH
