I've been told some can be very expensive - my son's blazer is £30 but you have the option to just buy a badge and sew it onto a generic supermarket blazer.

£27 - 30 (depending on size), with logo.

I think that is reasonable.

CLL65 · 21/07/2014 16:06

My DS's school blazer is £30 and that's with the badge already on the blazer. However, one of my friend's son's blazer is £50, so it clearly varies from school to school.

500smiles · 21/07/2014 16:12

DS blazer last year was £40 as he has monstrous rugby playing shoulders and the blazer colour is not black or blue which is all the supermarkets seem to stock.

We pay £3 for a sew on badge

MrsZiegler · 21/07/2014 16:30

I get dd's from M&S think it's about £29 & £3.50 for the badge.

smoothieooo · 21/07/2014 16:33

About 32. Sadly DS1 and DS2 go to different secondary schools so it's 2 lots of blazers, jumpers, school-branded sportswear etc etc.

HouseofEliot · 21/07/2014 16:40

£25 - £30 depending on size.

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 21/07/2014 16:47

About £30 upwards. I also need to buy specific logo'd skirts too which are hideous with a Massive logo on the thigh Hmm

NewtRipley · 21/07/2014 16:56

£30

JustADadHere · 21/07/2014 17:02

Just to add a different perspective - my sons' independent school's blazer is £75. I got it for £20 from used clothing sale and will be sewing on a button.

HairyPotter · 21/07/2014 17:07

£29 includes the badge already sewn on. I think that's fine. They wash well and we sometimes manage 2 years out of them.

NewtRipley · 21/07/2014 17:10

My Blazer cost £30 in 1981.

TalkinPeace · 21/07/2014 17:20

£30 from John Lewis with the badge already on

SwedishEdith · 21/07/2014 17:30

I'd only ever buy with the badge sewn on now after my eldest constantly unpicking the stitches. I think I only bought 2 in 5 years so they're not bad value

budgiegirl · 21/07/2014 17:41

£45 from school suppliers only Sad , we bought a very big one!!

Jbck · 21/07/2014 18:59

I got 2 from Debenhams in their sale £7 each!

Need to get badges to sew on now.

breward · 21/07/2014 19:01

£59.99
School has just changed the style. Old style was £27 and washed well and still looked good after 2 years. Hopefully this one will last until end of year 11...she is just going into year 9!!

flipchart · 21/07/2014 19:02

Checked o the school suppliers website -£25.

£30 with badge on - no option for sewing badges on own blazer as "they want them all to look the same". Compulsory for prefects and optional for seniors.

New rule for next term as it coincides with them movingto new ppremises.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 21/07/2014 19:06

Thank god our head is resisting blazers: tenner for a sweatshirt here!

Muskey · 21/07/2014 19:07

£80 from school suppliers with badge

Trollsworth · 21/07/2014 19:12

Eeeeeek muskey, is that a state school? It had better be made from organic lambs wool!

£38 for school blazer with badge, I get one for £18 from M&S plus £6 for badge.
Mind you, the badge is iron-on, so not sure if it can go on a new blazer Hmm

Needadvice5 · 21/07/2014 19:25

Dd's is £69 and it's lasted for 2 years but will need a new one this September :-(

JonSnowsPout · 21/07/2014 19:30

£30
While we are on the subject. Do you only buy one blazer? Or a few like jumpers?
Are they washable?

Ds is starting secondary so not had to buy one before and it doesn't get delivered till the end of august
