When she was first minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon was often interviewed by the press outside of her home.

I can remember feeling shocked at how small her house was. I think it was semi-detached.

And it looked like it was on a housing estate or just an ordinary house.

Now, there is obviously nothing wrong with this. It’s just that I assumed because she was such a high-ranking politician and had so much influence and notoriety she would’ve lived in a better and larger home with more security.

And I’m not even saying this in relation to the money that her husband allegedly laundered from the SNP. Just in general, I would expect such a politician to have a better house.

Why do you think this is?

Yes, because I'm sure the objective and totally unbiased cadre of NS obsessives on here are in a far better position than say, Police Scotland and COPFS to determine exactly what went on and to what, if any degree NS was complicit with PM's behaviour.

Murrell lived there. She lived at Bute House in Edinburgh which is WAY more fancy. And, allegedly, in other places too.

With the whole Murrell embezzlement thing her living arrangements were under scrutiny and she can't have it both ways. EITHER she was in a loving marriage with the lovely Peter and living with him as man and wife and was wilfully blind to all the stuff he was buying, OR she has been lying through her teeth for years about their marriage which explains why she was unaware.

I find your intrusive curiosity about Nicola's marriage and living arrangements absolutely weird.
I know where Bute House is thank you very much and that it is the Official Residence of the First Minister.
