I loathe the Scottish Government

I loathe the Scottish Government. I want to see the SNP/Green Party coalition roast in hell! They can take any MSP who voted for the Gender Reform Bill or the Hate Crime Laws with them. Is it now a hate crime for a Scottish Woman to say that?

Patrick Harvie launched a plan for more transparency around political funding and claimed: “Our politics should never be for sale”. 🤣🤣🤣🫠🫠🫠

I would pay £700 not to have lunch with Harvey or Slater

Such utter hypocrisy

Rainbowshit · 16/09/2024 22:53

I see the SNP are rallying round the vile man who took a job reserved for females only who has practically destroyed ERCC. 🤮

They are rotten to the core.

Newwwewww · 17/09/2024 07:05

No outrage for not putting the needs of victims first....

Thevelvelletes · 18/09/2024 09:44

Common wealth game's How much more money are these clowns going to spunk away.
Cut backs to too many things to list.
Our city centers and communities all over Scotland turning to shit but Swinney and co desperate to take this on.

Rainbowshit · 18/09/2024 10:05

I loved the commonwealth games last time.

I think it's such a bad ideas to host it again so soon. Especially when every other country has pulled out because of the spiralling costs.

The only reason the Nats want it is they are desperately trying to bring back the energy it gave the city in the vain hope it will resurrect their independence campaign.

Misthios · 18/09/2024 10:10

I volunteered at the Commonwealth Games last time and it was great. However things have moved on, we're 10 years down the line and I really think it's time to stop the Commonwealth Games. It's a thing of the past and the whole "commonwealth" thing is just not relevant any more. It's not a top-notch competition without China, the US, Europe. People aren't travelling to see the Commonwealth games in the way that people travel for the World Cup or the Olympics so it's not bringing in loads of money into the city. People who are likely to visit us as tourists from Europe and N America aren't watching.

But the nats love it because it's saltire-tastic, Scotland competes as Scotland against those awful English people and there is lots of tartan around.

motheronthedancefloor · 18/09/2024 10:14

The commonwealth games were utter shite last time. Dancing effing tea cakes...

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 18/09/2024 10:14

I think you are absolutely spot-on, @Rainbowshit and @Misthios. I loved the Glasgow Commonwealth Games - ds1 worked at one of the venues, and ds2 was a volunteer (Clydesider?), and the whole thing was great fun.

Apparently this won't cost the Scottish tax payer a penny, and there is a contingency fund, but if that runs out, then the Games will be scaled back even further - so Scotland could end up with the reputation of hosting the Pound Shop Games.

Misthios · 18/09/2024 10:17

As well as volunteering we attended the rugby 7s at Ibrox which was fun, and actually pretty high level competition as it was S Africa, Australia, New Zealand. Saw the dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony with DD and had press tickets for the closing ceremony with Kylie and Deacon Blue performing. It is a massive massive operation though with the Army drafted in for security. Where are they going to accommodate the athletes given that the village now has people living in it - student halls maybe?

Finally - a legitimate use for the camper van!

Thevelvelletes · 18/09/2024 13:47

There seems to be rose tinted specs by people that went to previous games yes many of you had a good time but the bigger picture is this time it will cost the country money.
The SNP are renowned for fucking things up why would this be any different.

Linearforeignbody · 18/09/2024 23:37

Have a look at the lastest SNP Facebook post- you honestly couldn’t make it up. Someone quite legitimately said they were concerned about what currency would be used in an independent Scotland.
“Don’t worry!” was the confident reply from one loyal supporter. Apparently it doesn’t matter because we all pay with cards rather than cash. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Igneococcus · 19/09/2024 07:04

Driving across Connel bridge (Loch Etive) yesterday after work there was some 10 year referendum anniversary thing going on. The walkway was festooned with saltires and Yes signs and maybe 30-40 people along the length of the bridge, all filmed with a drone.
I know Swinney thinks the younger generation will bring independence to Scotland but every person I saw on the bridge waving flags was 50+. The young people returned later in the evening in the form of kayakers. I love it when the kayakers come to paddle the falls at equinox.

Oh dear!! Grin I suppose that sort of response is only to be expected when their great leaders have such a loose grasp on financial reality.

They will fuck it up.

In 2014 we had a far more competent government.

The current lot are a bunch of utter fuckwits.

The SNP and All Under One Banner Facebook pages are equal measure hilarious and terrifying for the comments!

Oh look. We fucking told them so. Was always going to be scrapped. Yet another hare brained green policy ditched.

Misthios · 20/09/2024 07:43

How many "humiliating u-turns" is that now?

Thevelvelletes · 20/09/2024 10:15

Or just bashing on regardless and knowing it's going to go to fuck.

SirChenjins · 20/09/2024 10:34

A combination of breathtaking incompetence and multiple middle fingers to the Greens - if it wasn’t so awful it would be comical.

Rainbowshit · 20/09/2024 10:44
