I loathe the Scottish Government

I loathe the Scottish Government. I want to see the SNP/Green Party coalition roast in hell! They can take any MSP who voted for the Gender Reform Bill or the Hate Crime Laws with them. Is it now a hate crime for a Scottish Woman to say that?

Pathetic.

Too many of them are not fit to run a local council never mind a country.

SirChenjins · 15/11/2024 09:44

Because, in their minds, they can. Perks of the job and all that. They literally don’t give a fuck.

Just watched the Alex Salmond programme that was on BBC last month. Jaw hit the table when the footage at one of their conferences of Ian Blackford calling out Alex Salmond for overclaiming on expenses.........

Well he's no great loss to Scottish politics, is he? Humza, who never had an original idea in his life. Can't imagine what else he's actually qualified to do, mind you.

Misthios · 17/12/2024 11:22

Looking at his Wiki page, he has a degree in politics and has "worked" his entire career in politics, apart from a short period in an O2 call centre. Well, there's always that to go back to.

KielderWater · 17/12/2024 12:01

We have far too many politicians with a degree in politics and a career spent solely in politics. I think it should be mandatory for every MP/MSP to spend at least six years doing something else. They could spend their time running successful a business, being a medic, a mechanic, or being a single mum on benefits; ANY lawful experience outside politics.

He knows the writing's on the wall, doesn't he?

Good riddance. No loss.

Rainbowshit · 17/12/2024 12:16

Hope Sturgeon follows his lead.

BigBoysDontCry · 17/12/2024 13:00

Heard a bit on the radio about how he's enjoying spending time with his family, attending sports days and nativities and parents nights etc. Now I'm not saying he isn't taking annual leave to do these things as he may very well be doing his hours and his job, however, it was sounding like he doesn't have a well paid job funded by the taxpayer to represent them... 🤔

I agree with this, we consistently moan about how policies reinforce inequality yet always elect people who have had no first-hand experience of poverty, discrimination or even real-life in most cases.

Then when one does come along the media try and crucify them.

Minerva14 · 17/12/2024 15:45

I don’t rate him, but at least he has the self awareness to realise his time is up! And not follow in the footsteps of grifter Sturgeon.

Thevelvelletes · 17/12/2024 15:49

Can't see Sturgeon getting off the gravy train.

motheronthedancefloor · 18/12/2024 15:14

Hopefully he'll bugger off abroad as for someone who claims to be a nationalist, he doesn't seem to like Scotland all that much.

Misthios · 18/12/2024 16:02

Agree he has realised his time is up. He's hardly of the calibre to get a political lobbying job, or a EU job, or a special advisor / trade envoy job. Sturgeon for all her faults is a much bigger "name" with a higher profile, and is a smarter politician, even if you disagree with every word she utters.

So until the 2026 election, the good people of Glasgow Pollok are stuck with a pillock for a MSP who is coasting (and earning £72k a year for doing so)
