Not read the article yet, but she will be setting herself up as the non continuity candidate to take over from Humza. Given that a lot of the Westminster crew have either decided to stand down or will lose their seats at the GE, the SNP "b" team in Holyrood will be sweating about these political giants coming to take their MSP jobs....

BigBoysDontCry · 02/01/2024 11:44

I'm thinking this thread might be a useful addition to this one:

Why can't you just dispose of evidence in the bin - www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4970425-why-cant-you-just-dispose-of-evidence-in-the-bin

BigBoysDontCry · 02/01/2024 11:45

Sorry wrong thread...

Igneococcus · 02/01/2024 11:46

Nope, restarting doesn't fix the sharetoken issue :(

SirChenjins · 02/01/2024 11:50

storminamooncup · 02/01/2024 11:23

what is going on with Mairi Black? All of a sudden she's anti Sturgeon?
Rats jumping the ship (after its already sunk....)

No doubt positioning herself as Humza’s successor. Just what we need, another shouty SNP politician with a loose grasp on reality.

SquidwardBound · 02/01/2024 12:00

Wee Mairi is obviously trying to criticise sturgeon so she can set herself up as the new SNP demi-god.

Sadly for Mairi, her cult of personality aspirations may be somewhat limited by how unappealing her personality is.

MichelleScarn · 02/01/2024 12:35

Fuck no. MB is an absolute dangerous liability!

mummywithtwokidsplusdog · 02/01/2024 12:36

I'm not a fan of H Y but the thought of MB trying to position herself as a future leader us even more horrendous!

Yes, this.

Notapartyanimal · 26/01/2024 19:22

Bloody hell... just when you think they couldn't be any more wankerish, the wankers out-wanker themselves...

SNP shenanigans continued…
Northernsouloldies · 26/01/2024 19:25

Nothing surprises me anymore about these chances.

SirChenjins · 26/01/2024 19:52

Good to know that the National Clinical Director and Health Secretary found so much to laugh at while they admitted they didn’t have a clue what they were doing. You’d have thought that those 2 people would have been more sensitive to the distress and worry faced by the population but apparently not.

Northernsouloldies · 26/01/2024 19:57

And now one of them is head honcho... And still winging it.

SirChenjins · 26/01/2024 20:07

That much is very obvious. The man is an idiot who shouldn’t be in charge of making a cup of tea, never mind a country.

RandomGeocache · 26/01/2024 20:15

I am SO SO cross about this. All that has come out in the last few days is that every single decision was political. They ignored the scientists and kept us under restrictions for longer to get one up on Boris. The Clinical Director was giving Useless hints about how to get round the rules. They delelted all their whatsapp messages. They give not one single shiny shit about it now.

Jason Leitch and the odious Devi whatsit who are supposed to be independent advisers and who are clearly nothing of the sort.

Horrible, horrible people and looking at Leitch's smug little face makes me so murderously angry.

treadingonlego · 26/01/2024 20:38

I've never voted Tory, but this has reminded me how brilliant Ruth Davidson was in opposition.

RandomGeocache · 26/01/2024 23:32

Yes she really held the SNP to account. The current people in opposition - Douglas Ross and Anas Sarwar - are just not strong enough.

Northernsouloldies · 26/01/2024 23:39

I dont know if it is a question of opposition not being strong enough or The fact the Snp are the masters of being sneaky kniving bastards and have been for a long time, take a bow Ms Sturgeon Queen of the kniving bastards.

I'm not sure if you meant conniving or kniving and then realised that it doesn't matter. SNP are both conniving and prone to stabbing people in the back. 😂

Don't the faithful realise that she has lied to them and done the dirty on them just as much as she has to the thinking part of the population? Why is there still this desperate need to try to protect her?

I couldn't give a shit that she called Boris a clown, as inappropriate and uncouth as she comes across by doing so. He is a clown, I don't think anyone including himself would actually disagree. It doesn't make her some kind of hero really.

It just shows her up as the sleekit narcissist that she is.

Northernsouloldies · 27/01/2024 00:00

Haha yip I meant conniving excuse my spelling.. I couldn't give a flying fuck about Boris is a clown comment but what I do give a fuck about is the lies that have been told to cover up all manner of things. Nothing in Scotland operates independently, which is quite ironic, police Scotland, nhs Scotland, fire Scotland all centralised and completely at the mercy of the snp meddling and incompetence.

RandomGeocache · 27/01/2024 09:17

I mean. I have sent a fair few sweary WhatsApp messages in my time. But i'm not the FM and I know that my phone isn't ever likely to be accessed by any enquiry.

We are still suffering from the effects of their over-zealous lockdowns here, my eldest starting uni in Scotland in Oct 2021 and his entire first year was online, no nights out, no clubs and societies. His mental health is on the floor and he's just started on antidepressants. And that was after S5 exams and S6 being ruined too. SNP have made it clear they don't give a fuck about kids like him, because only Covid and their ludicrous "zero covid" policy ever mattered.

I really hope when it's election time that a SNP bot appears at my door so I can give them a piece of my mind.

user567543 · 27/01/2024 09:41

Not exactly a surprise here - sweary WhatsApps that most people find amusing will be all most remember from the Scotland Covid inquiry. Shocking eh - the only WhatsApps discovered are the ones that aged well. And few people realise they’re being utterly manipulated.

Sugarfree23 · 27/01/2024 10:09

@RandomGeocache it was fairly obvious at the time that the zero covid was never going to happen and the SNP were using it as a big flag waving exercise

Look back at the Railing threads.

RandomGeocache · 27/01/2024 10:19

Oh I remember. But back in 2020/21 there were loads of people who swallowed it hook, line and sinker and thought Sturgeon was doing a marvellous job. Like this thread.

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/coronavirus/3905375-Thank-God-weve-got-Nicola-Sturgeon?flipped=1&page=1

And people who seemed to think that being "better" than Boris was some sort of badge of competence. I could have stood up there every day and spoken with more authority and clarity than bumbling Boris ffs.

Did I mention how much I HATE the SNP? And the Greens. But to be fair, I don't hate the Greens as much. More pity them and laugh at them.

IWillNoLie · 27/01/2024 12:24

If people think her daily party political broadcast did not help the SNP win the last Scottish Election they are very naive. We are all having to live with that.
