Yes, she could have done.

annabelindajane · 15/10/2023 19:58

We need benefits fully devolved to Scotland . Might concentrate the diehards beliefs when they find the freebies stop. As I’ve said before Alex Salmond said get independence through before benefits are fully devolved as it won’t happen after they are .

IWillNoLie · 15/10/2023 21:01

The diehards will eat just boiled neeps and live in unheated shacks before backing away from independence.

SirChenjins · 15/10/2023 21:21

But that won’t happen @IWillNoLie - because, as everyone knows, Scotland will be a far wealthier country as a result of independence and we’ll all be millionaires 🐖 ✈️

mibbelucieachwell · 15/10/2023 21:52

@SirChenjins I would hope it goes without saying that I feel very sorry for all the civilians in Gaza and Israel affected by the current situation.

Millionaires like they were in Venezuela until they lopped six zeros off?

SirChenjins · 16/10/2023 05:57

Yep - exactly like that

Northernsouloldies · 28/10/2023 08:02

Jason and his deleted what's app msgs... Funny that something to hide?. The secrecy and lies just keep on coming.

annabelindajane · 28/10/2023 11:34

Aren’t they all up there in the cloud ?

I bet they were all sitting round deleting as fast as they could however someone somewhere possibly has some

Rainbowshit · 28/10/2023 13:23

I see Ash Regan has left the SNP to join Alba...

SirChenjins · 28/10/2023 13:29

Another one gone - although I see the reason she’s jumped is not because of the SNP’s appalling record on devolved matters but because of its wavering commitment to independence. They’re all the same - one trick ponies.

ArabeIIaScott · 28/10/2023 13:43

Well to be fair that is supposed to be the SNPs overarching aim. So it's consistent.

GrouchyKiwi · 28/10/2023 17:48

Isn't Yousaf a charmer:

Mr Yousaf said: "I can tell you categorically that the reason she's in that parliament is because she had the SNP logo next to her name on the ballot paper."
He told BBC Scotland she was "not a particularly great loss" to the party.

I get it’s their over-arching aim - but of all the things to criticise the party for it’s more of the same narrow minded, blind nationalism.

Youseless is the leader that reflects the party perfectly - nasty, bullying, incompetent.

BigBoysDontCry · 28/10/2023 18:39

To be fair, in his comments about Ash, he's not wrong. Though I'd change it to her being no loss to Holyrood (if that was the case). That statement also applies to every SNP politician.

Have they called for a by-election yet?

If she was not a great loss but was only there because of the SNP logo then don’t they have some questions to answer to their membership about their selection procedures?

BigBoysDontCry · 28/10/2023 21:12

Also shows what he thinks about his voters. We've always said that the sheep would vote for anything with a yellow rosette. He's confirmed it.

They're just so petty and childish. Do they think slagging off their former Mp/MSPs will help?

They may have to work together in the future. Burning their bridges is so short sighted.

Knifeandforkwhocares · 28/10/2023 23:10

Asha Regan never comes across as the most astute of politicians but she’s head and shoulders cleverer than the vast majority of the party. That’s not saying much though

storminamooncup · 29/10/2023 08:18

Will any of the others jump ship?

RandomGeocache · 29/10/2023 08:20

They're just so petty and childish. Do they think slagging off their former Mp/MSPs will help?

Indeed. If they had any sense or intelligence or even just decent manners they would have said something along the lines of fundamentally disagreeing with Ash Regan's decision, but wishing her all the best for the future.

treadingonlego · 29/10/2023 08:29

guinnessguzzler · 29/10/2023 09:01

So unprofessional and just makes him look ridiculous, and the SNP even more of an embarrassment.

IWillNoLie · 29/10/2023 11:49

It also says something about the quality of SNP MSPs more generally if they had to pick one whose departure is ‘no great lose’ to be a government minister.

BigBoysDontCry · 29/10/2023 12:14

He really does behave like a toddler.
