That’s the déclaration sur l’honneur dropped from today @WouldBeGood. Yeah. Enjoy your holiday.

Calmdown14 · 31/03/2022 19:03

Even waiting for these updates is detrimental to mental health. It still feels like we are not in normal times and constantly wondering how my trips away or days out will be affected.
The inability to look forward to anything is one of the things I found hardest. The usual holiday excitement was replaced with worry and stress. I remember going on my October holidays a day early when she threatened to shut the unicorn border.
Just let us enjoy our bloody Easter. I will not be keeping a mask on when I'm on the train this weekend. I want to actually talk and interact with my kids

GoldenOmber · 31/03/2022 19:17

Railing about the latest patronising shite from Jason Leitch on the BBC today:

“Scotland has behaved really, really well - and knows now how to deal with this disease, both from a protecting yourself perspective but also from a protecting others perspective.”

Hmm
Lidlfix · 31/03/2022 20:19

Coquohvan sorry to rudely interrupt, where can I find out about the ending of the declaration sur l'honnoure? Was about to print one off . Merci - practising for my holidays Wine

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 31/03/2022 20:59

Jason Leitch makes me quite stabby. If 'Scotland' is so wonderful at protecting everyone why are our numbers just as bad as elsewhere. It's fucking insulting. (Sweary railing is allowed isn't it????).

ssd · 31/03/2022 21:07

Railing about chlorine hair. I love swimming but its wrecking my hair. I have a long hair swimming cap but its so bloody tightBlush, ive got a really big headGrin

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo and conditioner for swimmers?

UnctuousUnicorns · 31/03/2022 21:25

"she threatened to shut the unicorn border"

Oh yes, I remember when in April 2021 when Glasgow was "locked down" until the 26th, and we weren't meant to leave the boundary or go five miles beyond it or some such bollocks, unless it was for "essential" purposes. Oh, how we chortled on the 12th, as we pootled down the M74 in our car and caravan, on our way to a lovely six nights in Northumberland, before DD3 went back to school on the 19th. Grin

Rainbowshit · 01/04/2022 00:08

Jason Leitch makes me feel quite stabby too. What ever happened to Devi Sridhar? Did they finally realise she was a bit of a loon?

Scottishskifun · 01/04/2022 01:14

@ssd ultraswim shampoo is worth the dosh if swimming regularly. Followed by a hair mask/conditioner treatment once a week at home. Its been many years since I was swimming regularly but used to train and compete as a youngster and that's what my mum used for me Smile

Try to avoid brushing it when really wet after swimming too - a really good towel dry first and wide comb as it can cause it to break more easily.

It's because he speaks to the TV audience as if they were a group of not very bright P3 children.
titsintiers · 01/04/2022 10:20

He's an absolute walloper

WouldBeGood · 01/04/2022 10:52

I really like Jason Leitch, and his wise words are persuading me that I should support the SNP!!

Grin Grin Grin WouldBeGood

I'm being very rebellious today. I went up to the garage where a sign declared. "Masks must be worn in the showroom" to find not a single member of staff wearing mine, so I didn't bother either.
Then swanned into Tesco, went up to the self-service till and even had a member of staff assisting me, maskless and nobody said a thing.

There I've done it at last!!!

mibbelucieachwell · 01/04/2022 11:33

@WouldBeGood Grin

I did think it was at least an attempt at compromise when he told us that the SG has listened to the disappointment of so many people at having to wear masks for longer and is allowing us to wear them over only our mouths during the week beginning April 11 to allow for a phased process of lifting the legal mandate.

It should help with people's confidence.

Good on you @RaraRachael!

On train bound for filthy Englandshire and plenty unmasked at central and on train.

Aurea · 01/04/2022 13:26

Currently on train from Aberdeen to Edinburgh.

Train is full but virtually no one is wearing masks 😊. Also the guards have stopped mentioning masks on the tannoy. What would Nicola say?

Scottishskifun · 01/04/2022 13:27

Enjoy @wouldbegood each time qe have been found it a really good mental break!

I don't think you even fully realise the mental toll of all the messaging, no entry withput mask signs, one way systems, TV adverts etc until you go away and suddenly it's like a weight lifted!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 01/04/2022 13:54

He does indeed speak to us like children @CharityShopChic and also comes across as not that bright in the process!

Ha, very good @WouldBeGood 😂

No, no, no... They have to be at least partially unbelievable... Otherwise you don't spot them Grin That is far too like ACTUAL policy, given the whole phasing out of masks gradually from some venues and not others (not to mention the pantomime of having one on to go to the toilet, or standing up to order a drink, but not while seated in the same venue... or not wearing one while seated but mot eating in a restaurant, but having to in a theatre or waiting room or library). Phasing in this way makes just as much sense, frankly!
LizzieMacQueen · 01/04/2022 15:44

1st April and the new energy prices are here. I didn't appreciate the differences in daily standing charges throughout the UK so just checked mine.

My Electricity is 56.12p Gas is 32.03p. So that's £321 a year (if I calculated that correctly) standing charges only!! I'm Central Scotland.
