The railing never ends.

No resilience wankery, all railing welcome, along with good things or humorous asides.

Maybe she did the leak?! Realised that she hadn't got anything lined up for when she left the beeb, and fancied a go at Stratton's job?

I've just seen NSs tweets. That's not sounding too promising is it.. Making a decision quickly and so on. Fecking feckitty feck. Did she close pubs etc last autumn without furlough being in place (in plaguey Glasgow at least?), or did she wait? I have honestly forgotten...

WouldBeGood · 08/12/2021 20:00

It’s all starting again isn’t it?

Fuck

I'm not reading any of the sanctimonious crap from herself. She can do what she wants but I'll be seeing folk in my house. End of.

WouldBeGood · 08/12/2021 20:04

Everyone will ignore those rules. But they’ll shut everything else. Fuck

So whats being tweeted?

Scottishskifun · 08/12/2021 20:05

@resiliencewanker yep she did in Glasgow lots of people were made redundant as she said she had no money and then gave £500 per NHS worker. They definitely deserved that money and more but after saying they didn't have money must have come as a kick to some.

It's been a busy railing day! There is no way its "got their hands on evidence" it's a much higher level leak!

I'm ignoring whatever NS decides to say or do I'm not having life put on hold any longer! We will do all our Xmas planned activities, travel to see family, see friends etc. If vulnerable I will do a lft otherwise nope!

Now had bronchitis for 3 weeks plus side it makes Xmas shopping really quiet as I get a wide berth! 😂

They won't shut everything again, the economy won't take it.
I reckon further down the line, people choosing to be unvaccinated, i mean choosing, not people who have allergies or medical conditions that mean they cant have the vaccines, i reckon people choosing not to be vaccinated with be refused nhs treatment for covid if they need it.

I can see it coming to a head that way.

ssd · 08/12/2021 20:08

@WouldBeGood thanks

ssd · 08/12/2021 20:14

Dh watching a football game in Germany. They are back to no crowds. They are ahead of us in cases, its going a bit daft out there.
I kind of don't care if there's more restrictions, I've been cautious and doing my own thing for ages anyway. I worry about jobs and how my kids will cope. But i feel I've kind of gave up caring about restrictions etc. I know my work will just shunt me somewhere else.

WouldBeGood · 08/12/2021 20:19

Germany has had n95 masks and vaccine passports for ages and only recently hailed as a great role model by Devi 🙄 These measures do not work.

I care very deeply about more restrictions.

Going to take up smoking again I think

ssd · 08/12/2021 20:23

I'd take up drinking if it didn't kill me the next day

WouldBeGood · 08/12/2021 20:25

😃 I’m an expert drinker, but need more and can’t take to drugs yet

Thanks ski - it all seems soooooo long ago!

I think I agree ssd - I don't think there will be anything like as many things closed down "legally". That's deffo not proportionate. But I do think they are gearing up for more vaccine passports and probably some strict talking to about indoor social gatherings again sodding tattie spoons. They won't ban them, I don't think (and no one would comply in any numbers, anyway) but it'll mean last minute cancellations/ changes as "responsible" people/organisations (esp. Gov or council funded) can't be seen to go against guidance, which affects everyone else, and causes worry and stress too, with the uncertainty. On top of the worry that we'll get pinged with a contact of omicron and we're back to the 10 days isolation. Welcome back to last year!

On the passports, I may be wrong, (just skimmed the BBC article) but I think in England they will be needed indoors for anywhere seated over 500 people. Up here I think that's only the case for unseated indoor stuff (nightclubs etc) and there's a higher number for seated things, so "normal" seated concerts, theatres cinemas etc aren't caught. Obviously, we can't be having stricter controls down there, so I assume the same thing will be brought in up here. Which I'm a bit worried about for our church, which would normally have close to 800ish people over Christmas. That'll be fun, getting the stewards acquainted with passport scanners! They've already brought in ticketing for the big Carol service and midnight mass, which has caused Ructions...

OldaRailer · 08/12/2021 20:35

Mibbelucieachwell i so agree with your post a wee while back about taking the virus from Wuhan way more seriously than the governments here. I have my pulse oximeter in the bathroom cupboard!Smile

OldaRailer · 08/12/2021 20:37

We've got zilch on at our local school and the usual collaboration with the church isnt on either. I'm so fed up by the lack of community Christmas.

Lockdownbear · 08/12/2021 20:42

@ResilienceWanker tickets to get into church, I'm somewhere between dumbstruck and utterly amazed that at a time when churches have falling numbers etc they have enough people wanting to go they need tickets.
Must be a fab minister!

mapleleavesreturn · 08/12/2021 20:42

Ugh those tweets - have we ever not been careful? I've checked and I see a vast expanse of carefulness in the last year and no carelessness whatsoever despite railing.

Who does she think it's helping?

WouldBeGood · 08/12/2021 20:43

I really resent being blamed for a virus

OP posts:
Scottishskifun · 08/12/2021 20:47

Our community seems to be going all guns blazing for Christmas this year as it was all cancelled last year but its not by the council it's by local groups. Santa has been riding his sleigh around for charity, charity grotto on etc.

OldaRailer · 08/12/2021 20:49

We laugh ruefully about how the council just hates doing stuff and cancels whenever possible.

ssd · 08/12/2021 20:51

Its older people and the youngsters i feel for. A crap time to be young or old. I don't mind staying in, i do feck all anyway. But my 20 something dss need out. And older folk need company. I'm happy staying in if they get allowed out.

ssd · 08/12/2021 20:53

Im sat here eating chocolate and drinking baileys watching the repair shop. Thats my limit these days. Restrictions pass me by

OldaRailer · 08/12/2021 20:54

Ooh I'm watching repair shop. Love it!

WouldBeGood · 08/12/2021 20:54

I’m scared this is it for me. Stuck indoors til it’s too late
