Packing my capsule new EasyJet cabin baggage compliant backpack for our city break tomorrow. Won't believe it's happening until I treat DH to an airport beer and finally hear "this is your captain speaking " . So excited! Railing at the paperwork from vaccine passports to passenger locators, and whatever destination requires Confused.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 13/10/2021 16:52

Ooh, @Lidlfix do you have a link to your easyJet compliant backpack? That sounds useful!

mapleleavesreturn · 13/10/2021 16:58

Great to hear about people getting away - brilliant news!

WouldBeGood · 13/10/2021 16:59

Ooh, @Lidlfix have a fab time!

I am about as good as doing links as I filling forms. But it's a Cabin Max Chicago and I splashed out on the garment compressor too. Figuring that I (have hexed foreign travel for me and everyone else) will get use out of it on future trips.

Fab, thank you @Lidlfix. Have a great trip!

rookiemere · 13/10/2021 19:22

Where is it you're off to @Lidlfix ? Just spent an hour doing the Spanish Locator Form, fingers crossed it's correct.
We paid for the Easyjet hands free, then I thought sod it and booked a case as well. Luggage aplenty.

titsintiers · 13/10/2021 19:26

So pleased you are getting to go rookie, have the best time.

Haudyourwheesht · 13/10/2021 19:38

@WouldBeGood

Railing against not being Denmark. All restrictions now lifted.
But all restrictions ARE lifted here. We're sub level zero. Life is normal.

Railing against every bugger going on holiday except me.

ssd · 14/10/2021 10:53

I mean im pleased for everyone getting away just with it was me

WouldBeGood · 14/10/2021 11:19

😃 @ssd

I wish I’d been braver and booked for the sun. Working today and listening to the wind howling, it’s dark and miserable.

I definitely have itchy feet after reading all the holiday plans. Maybe Christmas time…

You got any time off @ssd?

OP posts:
ssd · 14/10/2021 11:31

A few days here and there but too skint for much

ssd · 14/10/2021 11:32

And worrying how to pay for these stupid alarms we need to get Angry

WouldBeGood · 14/10/2021 11:54

Oh no @ssd 🥲

Hope you get a few nice days out at least. A change of scene is good

I'm not on holiday, but I'm off and the kids are in nursery today so it feels like a holiday! Wink

mapleleavesreturn · 14/10/2021 13:00

Weather is a real treat today isn't it? Gloomy, grey and cold.

rookiemere · 14/10/2021 16:43

@WouldBeGood I suspect you'd be skunnered by the holiday paperwork.
I thought I was organised , but my goodness having to factor in the covid requirements takes it to a new level.

I've decided to split my holiday folder so our original one is for standard travel paperwork and then a separate one for all the covidy nonsense. Friend and I had talked about a potential day trip on the Eurostar to Brussels when we're down in London in November, but frankly after prepping for this holiday it's far too much faff.

Temperatures of 28 degrees forecast all week in Tenerife though Grin

rookiemere · 14/10/2021 16:44

@Haudyourwheesht I remember those days well Wink.

mapleleavesreturn · 14/10/2021 16:51

28!! Apparently even looking at photos of sunny beaches boosts your mood...

Groovee · 14/10/2021 17:02

Right I'm looking at next summer and Greece... any suggestions on where to go?

Haudyourwheesht · 14/10/2021 17:48

I love Crete, especially Elounda. It's the right mix of being quiet but with nice restaurants, etc.
