Apparently Swinney has said you need to wear a mask if standing drinking at the bar…? Surely can’t be true

Still here. The Drunks have arrived. And the police. Feels like a real life episode of Casualty. Considering absconding and finding my way up to the roof. It's actually the most fun I've had for weeks... but I haven't been out much to be fair.

runningpink · 05/08/2021 22:12

Thanks @Scottishskifun

Wouldn’t surprise me @WouldBeGood

I obviously get you can’t really do the whole nightclub thing wearing a mask so it’s good you now don’t need too.

But then surely we should be able to be in shops etc without a mask.Feels like more double standards

WouldBeGood · 05/08/2021 22:13

Yep @runningpink. Totally nonsensical

Runningpink - while the legal numbers would have been higher, venues would still have been limited by their ability to SD.

I've been to 2 funerals since the Central belt went to level 0, in theory they were allowed 200, one was limited to 35 in the parlor, burial so unlimited at the grave, the other 90 in the crematorium, so I'd think weddings would have been exactly the same.

titsintiers · 06/08/2021 06:43

How are you today @ResilienceWanker?

ResilienceWanker · 06/08/2021 07:13

I'm feeling OK, thanks! Was actually admitted overnight... It seems they have a Protocol for things relating to possible vaccine clots (or possibly any clots), so because I had the symptoms, even though mild, they were tied to keeping me under observation until they had done bloods and a head scan. Which is reassuring I suppose. Bloods came back OK, so I didn't have to have an urgent scan last night, but will at some point this morning, hopefully. But have had pretty much no sleep among all the bleeps and alarms and snoring. Yawn. Also, I have no spare pants, or toothpaste or anything, as I wasn't expecting that... So imma lookin' goooood this morning. Hoping I get released before this becomes critical or DH is going to have to come on a mercy dash.

Lockdownbear · 06/08/2021 07:47

Good to hear you are OK and have been well looked after.
Hospitals are a nightmare to try and get sleep in.

riverrunning · 06/08/2021 07:58

Glad to hear it's looking better resilience same thing happened to my dh except he managed to get in and out in a day so no mercy pant dash needed.

Fingers crossed - they released dh after the blood test as supposed to be effective at dx clots. The migraine hung about for 3 weeks though.

Groovee · 06/08/2021 08:01

Glad you are ok @ResilienceWanker

WouldBeGood · 06/08/2021 08:48

Glad you’re ok @ResilienceWanker, and hope you get out soon!

Glad to hear your OK @ResilienceWanker all will be well with the scan and you can get home soon.

latissimusdorsi · 06/08/2021 09:22

Oh dear Resilience you're having a rough time of it
The headache's probably worse now with the lack of sleep!
Glad you're ok and hopefully get the all clear and be home by lunchtime

mibbelucieachwell · 06/08/2021 13:19

Oh my goodness resilience what a drama. So reassuring to know the NHS takes the possibility of clots seriously.

Hope you're in the clear and home again very soon.

ResilienceWanker · 06/08/2021 13:35

Yay - home again! Thanks for your good wishes all SmileWine. As I assumed, "just a headache", but just a very strange one for me, and happening to start at a very inconsiderate time. I assume I was just hyper sensitive to anything a bit weird for me. But yes, very impressed with how they treated it, and no one made me feel at all ott or like it was a waste of anyone's time. Whenever I have any dealings with NHS staff in hospitals I'm always in awe of their patience under really difficult situations, short staffed and whatever. They were great (even the chap who woke me up just after I'd finally dropped off to take my BP and ask me what year it was...). Big thumbs up for them Star

Off for a nap now.

WouldBeGood · 06/08/2021 16:44

Phew, @ResilienceWanker.

Glad to hear you are home @ResilienceWanker

titsintiers · 06/08/2021 19:11

Glad you're home and resting up. I can recommend some Netflix drivel if you need to switch off Wink

ResilienceWanker · 06/08/2021 20:00

Ah, now Netflix I can do! Given the weather, I'm totally up for a Netflix weekend. Absolutely torrential rain this afternoon here. You can tell the Edinburgh fringe has started again...

rookiemere · 06/08/2021 20:11

Glad you're back home again @ResilienceWanker . Here's me worrying that climate change may actually be a thing I need to do something about ( got caught driving in the biblical rain this afternoon) but you're right - perfectly logical cause - its Fringe weather Grin.

shouldistop · 06/08/2021 20:19

Glad you're ok @ResilienceWanker !

Ds1 tried his whole uniform on today, if it wasn't totally outing I'd post a picture. So adorable.

titsintiers · 06/08/2021 21:46

Aww lovely @shouldistop P1 uniform on my wee ones brought a tear to my eye. And I'm hard.

What do you fancy watching @ResilienceWanker?

Iwantthesummersun · 06/08/2021 21:51

Glad you’re home @ResilienceWanker

I am furious tonight to see that it’s being reported that only 79% of teaching staff have been offered their 2nd jag. I don’t believe that school staff should have been in the original first priority groups but they should all have been offered them before we went back after the summer. When I go back to school there is still a large number of my colleagues who won’t be double jagged.

Lockdownbear · 06/08/2021 21:54

Ive only tried bits on not the whole thing in one go.

Remembered about LOs hat left at nursery. Sent DH to collect it, he came home with a bag full of stuff id forgotten about, spare clothes just tons of stuff.

ElephantOfRisk · 06/08/2021 22:03

Love the kids in their first day at school photos. Smile I know the teen years can be difficult to get a first day back photo as they get camera shy, but try to get one every year. Also remember a last day at primary and last day at school one. I did a side by side for my two with first day and last day - we've lived in the same house throughout so we more or less created the same photo - it's lovely to look at. I also did a 4 way with first day and last day primary and first day and last day secondary.
