I'm generally noticing people being a bit more relaxed about the masks tbh. The odd child I still see masked up really stands out (and does make me sad to see). At soft play a few days ago maybe a quarter of people weren't wearing masks and none of the staff seemed to care, but then you are very 'active' when crawling around after a toddler I suppose! Then at the school gate this morning, the unmasked parents probably outnumbered to masked ones, and the teacher on the gate had taken hers off too, in stark contrast to last year when just about everyone was wearing them. It's good for me, because the more people who are quietly dropping them, the more confident I feel to take mine off if it gets too much. It does feel as though people are just using their own judgement anyway, regardless of what Sturgeon says is in law (although I'm never clear what's law and what's guidance, and whether masks are effectively unenforceable anyway as the list of exemptions is so long and self-determined).
