Travelling Tabby is just literally a student who follows the data. But if you don't want to look at proper facts, then it's even more annoying to be honest.

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:32

But even 1% is a lot of people not vaccinated.

And there’s never any accountability

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:33

We told them on here to make online booking and after hours vaccination centres months ago! It’s not fucking rocket science

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:33

That sounds really hard going @Cismyfatarse

florafoxtrot · 31/05/2021 19:33

Which is surely why Midlothian was moved to Level 2 rather than left in Level 3.

Somehow I doubt this is an original thought from Douglas Ross. —he tends to reserve those for some bigoted musings—

Cismyfatarse · 31/05/2021 19:34

@SoMuchForSummerLove So are we no longer allowed to criticise the government or the local council? I thought we were allowed to do so, because democracy.

I teach pupils to discuss.

And, yes, he is a man in a bedroom following the stats so I am not reading his stats as I have no way of verifying them as they are not an official source. I have learned over my 52 unvaccinated years to be suspicious of those who purport to know the only version of the truth.

And, I am sorry my lack of faith in said man in his bedroom or the government(s) is annoying.

I will go back to marking the hundreds of exam scripts the government has forced us to do for £400 and waiting for the much promised announcement from SQA about how the hell the appeals are supposed to work.

Because, that truly is annoying.

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:35

Tory bad; SNP good 🙄🙄

Cismyfatarse · 31/05/2021 19:36

@WouldBeGood They are all a shower of bastards but you are allowed to criticise Boris but never, never Nicola.

Scottishskifun · 31/05/2021 19:39

I thought midlothian at the time was at/hovering around the magic 50 at the time?

Will wait and see tomorrow as there are many areas which by the numbers shouldn't go down including the Highlands but its mostly based around a Fort William outbreak.
I've no idea if it was an original thought it pained me to agree with him but it did make sense to me!

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:40

I hate it when one is forced to agree with dickheads 😂

titsintiers · 31/05/2021 19:41

That sounds shite @Cismyfatarse hopefully it'll not be for much longer I hope.

I read frustration from your post rather than a trainspotting Scotland is shite type statement

Cismyfatarse · 31/05/2021 19:48

Scotland is not shite.

But I reserve the right to rail against the bastards in charge.

FifeQuine · 31/05/2021 19:48

So I guess you think the government is making stuff up too? Do you have what you consider to be the real figures, or is it just "Scotland baaad!!"

I don't give a fuck about Nicola actually, and I'm not an SNP supporter.

I just find the relentless negativity on here so fucking grinding and constant.

I'm well in the minority so usually I shut the fuck up but sometimes it frustrates me so much.

Is that not allowed then? We're only allowed to post negative stuff?

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:52

Surely it’s normal to moan about the government @SoMuchForSummerLove?

SoMuchForSummerLove · 31/05/2021 19:54

Ish! But not every bloody post every bloody day. I'm sure that isn't the case but it feels like it sometimes. Even good news updates about restrictions lifting is cause for another moan, everyone always looking for the worst.

It's fucking boring and it does nothing for anyone who would like to join in with a Scottish thread but not feel depressed as fuck about everything.

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 19:55

Not true! I’m always happy when there’s good news. 😃

SoMuchForSummerLove · 31/05/2021 20:07

Well then we can be pals @WouldBeGood Grin

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 20:08

I’d like to think so @SoMuchForSummerLove 😃

florafoxtrot · 31/05/2021 20:10

Let’s hope there is some good news coming then! @WouldBeGood

It does seem at the moment that it’s the same discussion constantly, the vaccine roll out was too slow, the letter system doesn’t work etc. and I don’t really disagree with either of those things. However I’m also not quite convinced that England is this amazingly magical place and that in comparison Scotland is pure shite.

Cismyfatarse · 31/05/2021 20:13

@FifeQuine We are behind. It may not be by much but we are on your 2nd graph. Also, 1% behind is a lot of unvaccinated people.

Plus DH works in various Fife vaccine centres and they get about 20% no shows. More at the weekends, oddly. So, the booking system is not working and it certainly wasn't working today when dozens turned up to find the clinic closed. St Andrews usually does about 250 a day. Fewer just now as they have some 2nd / some 1st doses and 2 vaccines to deal with needing separate set ups.

So, my colleague's appointment was at 8.30am but there may have been many others later that he did not see.

Another issue is Fife seem keen to shut the more local vaccine hubs (and have done so for some weeks and days) and open up bigger ones like the one in Dunfermline, expecting people to travel.

The staff on the ground are brilliant but the system running the whole thing could be far, far more efficient and easier to book so people can fit it around childcare, work etc.

They are also cross that many (including DH) were promised training to administer jags but it has not happened. There are an awful lot of dentists there in £80 an hour talking about topping up their pensions and a lot of nurses who just want to do the training and will get £13 an hour.

I see 2 things every day. Education and the vaccine stuff. On some days, DH has another job (not NHS) and he is a different person. I hope I will be less angry once the SQA sorts itself out.

Appeal information promised 2 schools twice before and delayed. The 3rd date it was promised is today.

So, sorry if I sound grumpy. It is because I am.

Scottishskifun · 31/05/2021 20:14

I think would love to just be happy about stuff opening up and going down the levels.

But once again we are in limbo not knowing what will happen as if SG follow their table then lots of people won't be moving down the levels. It causes quite a bit of anxiety around the uncertainty going back to not being able to plan things properly etc. There does seem to be a hybrid of tables and numbers but it's not clear at all at what point an area switches which again leads back to uncertainty.

Think it was the public consultation report (sorry can't remember the name of the 20 people group) which said communication and transparency should be better. Sadly this still hasn't been improved upon so people still feel in limbo land which isn't a great feeling at any time but especially at the end of a long lockdown.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 31/05/2021 20:17

I'm getting my second jab this week at our local vaccine centre, five minutes from my house (in Fife). The local ones did/are doing everyone up to and including Group 6 I think.

Although my friends all had a 90 minute round trip. I don't get why they didn't have a centre nearer North East Fife.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 31/05/2021 20:18

I'm grumpy too @Cismyfatarse

Maybe it's some sort of Moany Monday effect Grin

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 20:18

My second is 13th June
