Absolutely @LizzieMacQueen
What delights we will get this afternoon?

RedactedTaeFeck · 15/06/2021 10:20

@rookiemere

I could do with my routine breast cancer screening meant to be happening within 2 years of my 50th, what with my DM and DAunt having had breast cancer. Looks like it could be somewhat delayed according to my Medical Practice.

But gosh yes do let me avail myself of bi weekly tests ( presumably of the fairly useless lateral flow type) so that despite being double vaccinated, my modest plans stand every chance of being decimated. Lets also simultaneously run huge outdoor events without mandatory testing to push the chances of me being positive up a notch.

I got my breast screening as normal so hopefully you get yours soon too.

Probably nothing. Pressing pause. They've moved the islands to level 0 already and rates increasing throughout much of the mainland. As long as I can travel up north I can live with that. 🤞

titsintiers · 15/06/2021 13:49

When is herself giving us an update?

SoMuchForSummerLove · 15/06/2021 14:20

Any minute now I think, am just away to go onto the website now.

titsintiers · 15/06/2021 14:40

See instead of publishing a paper looking at life beyond level 0, why can't they just remember 2019?

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 15/06/2021 14:41

Another summer fucked.

WouldBeGood · 15/06/2021 14:49

Dare I ask?

SoMuchForSummerLove · 15/06/2021 14:49

I never noticed before that Douglas Ross has no neck. What a weird turtly-looking dude he is.

WouldBeGood · 15/06/2021 14:50

He’s like a very wet turtle. Awful voice too

SoMuchForSummerLove · 15/06/2021 14:51

I think she said they'll push back easing for three more weeks to allow more people to get vaccinated.

titsintiers · 15/06/2021 14:51

@WouldBeGood

Dare I ask?
No changes to tier, possible delays to getting to tier 0 to allow 2nd dose vaccination to catch up.
dancemom · 15/06/2021 14:51

• 974 new cases of COVID-19 reported
• 20,761 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
◦ 5.0% of these were positive
• 2 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive
• 17 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
• 137 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
• 3,531,461 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 2,470,181 have received their second dose
*Please note Public Health Scotland experienced IT issues which impacted the extraction of vaccination data today (15/06/2021). Today's figures may be an under estimate, and any missing data will be reported in tomorrow's figures.

And then hopefully go to 0 then back to normality by the end of the summer. Something like that I think. Thought I was listening, turns out not so much.

He gives me the dry boak.

Thanks @titsintiers

I’m currently in the hairdressers swathed in polythene, masked up, Perspex screens/ it’s absolutely horrible. Everything is really shit.

titsintiers · 15/06/2021 14:54

Bet you look sexy AF @WouldBeGood

SoMuchForSummerLove · 15/06/2021 14:55

Nothing ruins my enjoyment of the hairdressers. Hours on my own with a book? It's the BEST. I would do it more if it didn't cost £100 a time.

RaspberryCoulis · 15/06/2021 14:58

Sturgeon back to her sleekit, evasive best today.

Douglas Ross : Can the first minister confirm when every scottish adult will have had their first vaccination?

Sleekit Sturgeon : Every adult will have been assigned an appointment by the end of June.

That's not the same, we did notice, our heads do not zip up the back. How does she get away with it?

RaspberryCoulis · 15/06/2021 15:00

And I REALLY want to see stats for the average stay of a person admitted to hospital with Covid, compared with a year ago. She blethers on about how the data suggests that period is decreasing, very reluctant to say by how much.

All indications are that it's a very short time indeed.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 15/06/2021 15:01

I think the beginning of that sentence was something about all adults having their first jab by the end of July as planned was it not? But then she said 'actually, every adult...blah blah blah'.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 15/06/2021 15:03

I always wonder about that @RaspberryCoulis given that the number of admissions often bears no resemblance to the number of inpatients.

I saw an article the other day saying that many people now don't need to be admitted past Covid A&E (if you like, that's not what its properly called, I made that up Grin ) or only stay in one night for treatment.

RaspberryCoulis · 15/06/2021 15:04

@SoMuchForSummerLove

I think the beginning of that sentence was something about all adults having their first jab by the end of July as planned was it not? But then she said 'actually, every adult...blah blah blah'.
That'll be because Johnson is on track to have every English adult jabbed by 19th July and obviously the end of July is a fortnight after that.

So proving Scotland is behind.

charliebrown59 · 15/06/2021 15:05

Now come on, we mustn't compare politicians to cute animals, that risks ruining turtles etc.

I've given up, I'm pinning my hopes on sunny weather here this summer.
