Just checked the FCO you don't need your vaccination for Seychelles (yay) but it's red listed so you would have to be in a quarantine hotel when you get back (boo)

titsintiers · 18/04/2021 22:12

Thanks @WouldBeGood have a reciprocal awkward hug

WouldBeGood · 19/04/2021 08:39

Thanks @Bytheloch. I feel I should post good things too, rather than just my incessant moaning 😃

@WouldBeGood it makes such a huge difference having them back at school 😊. Although I reckon they’ll all be exhausted by the end of this term as they’re not used to it

DeepfriedPizza · 19/04/2021 10:12

Glad the high school kids are going back hopefully it is a step forward in getting things back to normal.

shouldistop · 19/04/2021 10:34

Not moaning. Guilt free railing, it’s entirely different😝
Groovee · 19/04/2021 12:41

My Aldi furniture is being delivered today, the last day of the holidays 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I've just been looking to book a table for the 1st of May, when we're going through to the West for the weekend to see family. I think I'll scrap that idea and just suggest everyone meets at the park with a picnic.

WouldBeGood · 19/04/2021 13:03

@dancemom more ridiculous last minute rules from the SG. How can businesses possibly function on that basis? And after getting all ready for the reopening, however crappy the inside rules, etc.

WouldBeGood · 19/04/2021 13:06

@Justmuddlingalong that’s how I’m feeling. All pleasure is sucked out of every bloody thing.

Maybe dinner in the garden at @Groovee’s to test out the new garden furniture? 😃

Scottishskifun · 19/04/2021 13:09

It's bonkers! Most cafes around here would be able to have a single table in!

Even though the sun is shining I'm so fed up with the bit of hope of normality once again being dashed with unattainable guidelines which no doubt will change in the next few weeks leaving businesses with astronomical costs.

I think come mid May we will be spending a lot more time in England visiting but also having a bit of normality which we can't seem to get up here.

Justmuddlingalong · 19/04/2021 13:10

It's shite. I know drinking alcohol outside is illegal while we're in level 4, but if we're going into level 3 on the 26th of April, can I take a flask of gin with me on a picnic?

riverrunning · 19/04/2021 13:17

That hospitality advice is ridiculous - and what if the adults from both households have all been jabbed?

At least the sky is blue and the temperature is above 10!

My DH reports that Italy has given 15 m jabs - it looks as though the EU is ramping up now?

riverrunning · 19/04/2021 13:19

outdoor public drinking is still banned then for a bit longer? I was sloshed this weekend at a park meet, I didn't run around hugging and kissing anyone though.

dancemom · 19/04/2021 13:21

When will having being vaccinated actually have an impact on restrictions?

titsintiers · 19/04/2021 13:29

The government really do not value our hospitality sector, that much is clear.

runningpink · 19/04/2021 13:30

There was plenty folk sitting on the beach drinking at the weekend, in rather large groups. (I was only jealous that I couldn’t join them as was driving)

The police were walking past regularly but didn’t see them speaking to anyone

LizzieMacQueen · 19/04/2021 13:35

I thought drinking outside was illegal, or being made illegal, in all council areas irregardless of Covid. They are in Stirlingshire.
Justmuddlingalong · 19/04/2021 13:44

I've just had a look online and can't find the answer, so who knows. But if I've occasionally broken the law before by having an wine or beer with a picnic, and it is illegal, fuck it! I'm not going to suddenly stick to the rules now.

😂 Anyone else feel like it's back to being a teenager and having pre mixed bottles of soft drink with the spirit of choice already in it?!
Icannever · 19/04/2021 13:46

We saw a pile of youngish people heading into the hermitage up at dunkeld as we were leaving on Saturday carrying lots of big packs of cider and an inflatable boat!
The ciders okay but that’s a seriously mental place to take a boat, even if your sober, just a series of waterfalls 😀 it kind of amused me imagining what was going to happen to their wee boat 😂
