@Mistressinthetulips just tell them left arm. Perfectly reasonable.

@Mistressinthetulips oh I didn't know there was an option for drive thru vaccinations. Can't help though I'm afraid.

Mistressinthetulips · 03/04/2021 20:22

Thank you both. I'm clearly just in a worrying mood Grin Picturing myself being turned away! (Arm injury, I'm not just being fussy)

Groovee · 04/04/2021 10:41

Happy Easter...

I'm making hot cross scones.

Was up at 5am to log in to Aldi to get the garden furniture I wanted 😂. Mr G will have a comfy place to sit in the garden soon x

WouldBeGood · 04/04/2021 10:50

Happy Easter!

Hot cross scones sound great. And well done on securing garden furniture- now I think I understand the Aldi queue references I’ve seen 😃

@Groovee v jealous, i found out about that too late, it looks just what I wanted too.

titsintiers · 04/04/2021 14:35

Happy Easter. In laws coming today, not seen them since before Christmas so really looking forward to it. I hope everyone is having a nice day.

shouldistop · 04/04/2021 14:42

Happy Easter! We all feel a bit chocolate sick.
Had an egg hunt, rolled painted eggs down a hill and had a teddy bears picnic in the living room (too cold outside).

WouldBeGood · 04/04/2021 14:54

I miss mine being wee at Easter! Sounds like everyone having a nice time.

Got DPs son and gf coming for the afternoon so that’s nice. He’s got giant steak things for the bbq. And wine 😃

I've been trying for a year. 😂

Groovee · 04/04/2021 16:54

Hot cross scones were very tasty x

rookiemere · 04/04/2021 20:47

Saw DPs today so that was good, but asked DM if she'd feel comfortable going out and about a bit more in a couple of weeks once the second vaccine has taken effect and she started muttering about new variants .

Meanwhile DF is chomping at the bit to drive down the motorway ( slightly unwise) and visit us and/or planning a trip to London that DM will never green light.

DM has become increasingly anxious over the past few years - both in their 80s - and unfortunately I can't see them returning to their pre lives even when allowed to as DM has stomach complaints and doesn't travel well, so don't think she has missed their lunches out over the past year although DF has.

It's such a shame that they haven't been physically impacted by coronavirus but even now vaccinated it's going to stop them doing things.

Scottishskifun · 04/04/2021 21:49

I managed an hour out of bed today Easter Grin which is a massive improvement especially as DH had to call 999 on Friday night for me. My heart rate went mental covid is weird but thankfully it got sorted quickly and I got home quickly after observation and some tests.

Starting to feel more normal and no fever for 12 hours so far!

latissimusdorsi · 04/04/2021 22:29

Oh dear @Scottishskifun you're really having a tough time!
pleased to hear you've felt little bit better today. Hopefully you're starting to turn a corner. Just take it easy and don't overdo it

UnderHisAye · 04/04/2021 23:16

Jeezo @Scottishskifun you've been through it! Glad you seem to be turning a corner though.

We broke rules today by having three households in our garden (including us). It was flipping freezing but would it even be a Scottish Easter if it wasn't?!

titsintiers · 05/04/2021 07:36

Glad yesterday was a bit better for you @Scottishskifun hopefully you'll continue to improve today Thanks

Scottishskifun · 05/04/2021 07:48

Yeah on paper I shouldn't have got it so badly but I've learnt covid is random and doesn't follow what it should or shouldn't do!

no fever so hoping thats it with that one (after 13 days!) I'm still in bed for now as body still aches but starting to feel much better than I did!

Watching the snow swirling is a fun past time from bed

Groovee · 05/04/2021 08:31

@Scottishskifun glad you are on the mend. Xx

DeepfriedPizza · 05/04/2021 09:26

Glad you've turned a corner scottishskinfun.

I have woken up today with a honking cold. How is that possible when I've not been anywhere or seen anyone?
I know it's not that as I don't have any of those symptoms and can still taste my lemsip Envy. So annoying

ResilienceWanker · 05/04/2021 09:34

So glad you met your self imposed Easter deadline for getting out of bed scottishskifun! And glad you're feeling a little better today. But yes, it does sound like you've had a worrying few days.

Sorry to hear of your cold deepfried! It is frustrating given we've hardly had the fun things to do that come with the risk of getting colds... Anyway, I hope you're flagellating yourself for having caught it and potentially passing it on. Cos viruses are a moral failing these days. Easter HmmEaster Grin

WaxOnFeckOff · 05/04/2021 09:45

I'm sure I read something about the common cold kicking covid's butt?

Scottishskifun · 05/04/2021 09:48

@WaxOnFeckOff

I'm sure I read something about the common cold kicking covid's butt?
Yep it's a selfish virus which will kick out covid if develops at the same time or before.

Who would have thought we would be longing to have a cold!

shouldistop · 05/04/2021 09:50

Can we just inject people with rhinovirus then 😁

latissimusdorsi · 05/04/2021 09:54
