Exactly Statistically!
Goodnight.x

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:08

Night all!

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 25/03/2021 23:10

You’re all over the shop. I expect politicians paid by the public not to support other politicians receiving rape and death threats. I know, my standards are far too high
Direct me to the demonstrable support of rape & death threats
Were there lol 😂 posts?

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:17

I mean tacit support by not speaking out.

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:18

And no, I'm not all over the shop at all.

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:25

However I will rephrase as I obviously wasn't clear enough.

I expect politicians to not behave misogynistically and to speak out against misogyny. I also expect them to speak out against the abuse of other politicians even when they disagree with their views; politicians being able to hold conflicting views is important. I especially expect them to speak out when a member of their own party is being subject to rape and death threats, even when she is receiving them due to not toeing the party line.

In the case of the abuse JC has received, the SNP leadership saying nothing says a lot.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 25/03/2021 23:26

Well grammatically it made no sense
Oh so you cannot actually demonstrate politicians paid by the public not to support other politicians receiving rape and death threats
Right then. Just bluster

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:31

No not just bluster, a slightly unclear post. Which I immediately corrected when I realised that it had been unclear/misinterpreted.

Have you never actually had a conversation where people clarify what they mean?

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 25/03/2021 23:34

Indeed and I did say it was badly composed, bit all over the shop
Pretty much as I’d say in real life conversation actually
And you did clarify your statement

noego · 25/03/2021 23:34

I understood what you wrote, but then I've been following the JC situation!!

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:36

Thank you @noego.

WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 23:37

I find your posts clear and helpful @StatisticallyChallenged

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 23:41

Thanks @WouldBeGood.

RedactedTaeFeck · 25/03/2021 23:43

me also @StatisticallyChallenged. I'm avoiding the thread to be honest.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 25/03/2021 23:43

See y’all later, and for the inevitable part 6

52andblue · 26/03/2021 09:40

The SNP official silence on the death threats JC has received as a direct result of speaking out about her concerns about some SNP policies / behavior is one of the most worrying elements of this whole saga.

Women's rights not respected by AS, not respected by the legal system, not respected by Parliament or committees. Even when you are an MSP and your Great Leader is a woman too. Hugely depressing

Graffitiqueen · 26/03/2021 09:50

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee

Yup i am challenging the comments casual sneering about the public Terms like The loyal servants, the problematic public, those who all apparently cannot truly see the snp for what they are

Genuinely I think some of you are totally in your insular bubble with likeminded folk, rattle tattling on line, casting aspersions and seeing dark conspiracy all over the place

Meanwhile folk are worried about covid, education, health, their kids
And snp are likely to get majority of seats

Oh the irony. Seems like you're not averse to a bit of sneering yourself. 🤔
SempreSuiGeneris · 26/03/2021 10:16

JC failed the loyalty test. I believe the official term was "not a team player".

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 26/03/2021 10:34

Having read the entire thread i used direct quotes
It’s my opinion and summation actually
Make global and dismissive statements about public expect to get challenged
I also note that when contrary opinions were expressed it was dismissed as derailment. Which other posters rightly queried and challenged

ATieLikeRichardGere · 26/03/2021 10:42

Any thoughts on these reports about the SNP asking for MI5 help on “foreign interference”?

WouldBeGood · 26/03/2021 10:46

@ATieLikeRichardGere

Any thoughts on these reports about the SNP asking for MI5 help on “foreign interference”?
This is priceless! Like Iran gives a fuck about Scotland.

I did like them saying it would affect political integrity in Scottish politics though....

WouldBeGood · 26/03/2021 10:47

And they have no problems cosying up to China

Blurberoo · 26/03/2021 10:50

I know!! Rich coming from those two!

ATieLikeRichardGere · 26/03/2021 10:57

Also what’s this with all the independence bloggers talking about “good news” and “interesting day” today?

WouldBeGood · 26/03/2021 10:59

There’s talk of something afoot... new party?
