Depends what you look at on Twitter, it can be vile, it can be funny & well observed Just chose what you want to see.
Janey Godley is very funny,astute and got the country through covid hard times
Jane Godley of course has her detractors hairy handed gers fans usually

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee

I don't think anyone has been disparaging about the Scottish people. If you look at the post it states that the Scottish Government TREAT people like plebs by keeping them in the dark and feeding them shite.

If you look at the facts of the SG;s track record you would probably come to this conclusion yourself!!

Blurberoo · 25/03/2021 22:26

I can totally understand it if she decides to step away from politics. The shit she’s had to take just doing her job (very well). It must take a serious toll on health, mental and physical. I really hope she doesn’t, of course, but I’d get it if she concentrates on her legal career instead.

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee

Yup i am challenging the comments casual sneering about the public Terms like The loyal servants, the problematic public, those who all apparently cannot truly see the snp for what they are

Genuinely I think some of you are totally in your insular bubble with likeminded folk, rattle tattling on line, casting aspersions and seeing dark conspiracy all over the place

Meanwhile folk are worried about covid,education,health,their kids
And snp are likely to get majority of seats

Actually I'd say my "bubble" is pretty mixed, and I'm normally the last of the conspiracy theorists.

I have issues with the SNP because I care about covid, education, health and my kids. Education right now, for example, is awful IMO.

But actually I think every political party has a subset of voters who are loyal and will vote for them regardless. They rely on that - and in Labour's case got a rude shock when some of them didn't! My father in law, for example, would never vote for anyone to the left of the Tories. Under any circumstances. He did consider voting UKIP at one point but decided it would be a wasted vote.

derxa · 25/03/2021 22:26

@TheShadowyFeminist

This is the sort of shite that the SNP basks in. The SNP affiliated OFI co-convener gloating over JC having to step back for health reasons.

That absolute state of the SNP with this ongoing bullying of their MP from within their own party. Fucking unreal.

Disgusting
TheShadowyFeminist · 25/03/2021 22:27
@TheShadowyFeminist I just don’t get how people can talk about someone who’s suffering like that.

And Joanna Cherry is a properly clever woman
JC would be an asset to any party. Any party with sense that is. It's just the SNP that think she's worth harassing & bullying & defaming by their own members cos that's how 'progressive politics' works.

I'd be embarrassed by that, and not only that, by every significant person who can't seem to locate their spine & stand up for her against this relentless bullshit. It's pathetic.

LookAChicken · 25/03/2021 22:31

Sorry to see Cherry go.

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 22:32

The treatment of JC has been appalling. Politics shouldn't be an echo chamber - you need people who disagree as that disagreement helps to develop better policies and laws, to highlight the weaknesses and inconsistencies.

I would not be surprised if she gives up politics entirely. She has a career she can go back to, and in her case I'd be sorely tempted.

I absolutely disagree with this. It’s a sour note and it disparages the public. Obvious inference is the public cannot see the scam and are passively fed shite, cause they don’t know any better

Derogatory Statement like

 • Loyal subjects.
- Public are the problem, Just reek of feeling superior and in fact suggest being totally out of touch with public
WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 22:37

Sorry, @HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee could you repeat that again? 😂

WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 22:38

I shouldn’t rise to it but it’s so ridiculous

There's a job going in May for LA.

It would never happen of course but that would be karma on an epic scale.

I think it'll be a huge loss to politics if she does step down for good. Look at the absolute dross that's embarrassing itself on twitter right now - Kirsty Blackman, John Nicholson & then there's her replacement shadow justice minister with zero legal qualifications or background. That's what's left while she gets hounded by her own fucking party.

TheShadowyFeminist · 25/03/2021 22:40

Justice spokeswoman or whatever it is.

WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 22:42

They have clearly hounded JC out.

An intelligent, articulate woman of principle.

Thanks for lol 😂 @WouldBeGood.it really added something, raised the tone. Incisive

WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 22:47

It is @derxa

Misogyny is rife in the SNP

@WouldBeGood

It is *@derxa*

Misogyny is rife in the SNP

As is a lack of self awareness.
WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 22:50

Very much so @TheShadowyFeminist.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 25/03/2021 22:51

Like The kind of misogyny that’d critique a woman appearance, judge her attire and regurgitate salacious rumours about her marriage

TheShadowyFeminist · 25/03/2021 22:52

🥱 time I went to bed.

Night all 😊

LookAChicken · 25/03/2021 22:53

Aye to lack of self awareness.

WouldBeGood · 25/03/2021 22:53

Me too good night all

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2021 22:59

Yes, because some randoms having a discussion online - even if you consider it unsavoury - is exactly the same as a political party behaving misogynistically.

I expect politicians paid by the public not to support other politicians receiving rape and death threats. I know, my standards are far too high.
