Thanks blurb. Just saving my place on the bench with some kettle chips and Wine. This coming week could be interesting I think. Looking forward to the chat from those of you with your fingers much more on the pulse than me Grin

Hello all, here for the confusion and intrigue!

Why do we thing Tories going with the VONC? I can't see her resigning and I can't see her losing the VONC and to be honest, at this point I'd rather see her limping along for the election.

Her winning the VONC (assuming she does) will just rally the troops a bit no?

WaxOnFeckOff · 20/03/2021 11:46

think, not thing

billysboy · 20/03/2021 11:48

This will probably all blow over

VoNC gets the Opposition Parties formal endorsement of the majority position of the Committee. The Greens end up embarrassed either way. Also underlines that the SNP have no alternative to NS atm and the partisan nature of the whole process. Wonder if anyone will run a "vote Nicola get Angus" line.

Blurberoo · 20/03/2021 12:03

It keeps the pressure level up and reported in the press as well.
‘Vote Nicola get Angus’ would be an effective slogan, he’s not exactly popular and comes across as super smarmy and smug!

Not sure the Greens have the integrity to be embarrassed...

annabelindajane · 20/03/2021 12:09

There will be lots of recommendations but confident some heads will roll. From what I understand there are more Murrell and supporting cast texts and if they are released Nikla might have to go .

I agree. It's pointless and counterproductive.

While I think if NS had any integrity then she should resign I don't actually want her to.

I think she has a stabilising influence on the Indy at any cost UDI crazies. If one of them gets the leadership role then you can see the instability causing capital flight from Scotland. NS at least appears sane and competent.

Placemark for the reports discussion, hopefully not much longer to wait 🤞

Do the Greens actually care about anything Green anymore?

Wonder if this indicates there's some rumblings of discontent within the SNP ranks

"... three members of the SNP's finance committee have resigned today because Peter Murrell won't let them see the party's books."

Surely the mechanisms of the party can kick in & boot this egomaniac into touch?

His downfall can't come quick enough IMO
