According to the omnicalculator I should be done between 30/3 and 10/4 so if I've not had a letter in next couple of days I'll call.

user1487194234 · 18/03/2021 11:02

Feel worse than ever ,now ,previously every day I was thinking my letter would come, now I know it won't

WouldBeGood · 18/03/2021 11:05

@user1487194234 apply under the unpaid carer thing.

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 18/03/2021 11:06

That doesn't sound right. I'd phone again, user. Insist they must be able to find you! Maybe it was a numpty on the other end of the phone. If no joy with them this time, call your GP to see what's going on.

user1487194234 · 18/03/2021 11:25

Have phoned my GP, someone will call me back, but non urgent so might take a few days
The person I spoke to was really nice, and tried a good few times to 'find ' me
I really couldn't call myself an unpaid carer, just do my DPS shopping and don't want to say I am just to jump the queue

ResilienceWanker · 18/03/2021 11:30

That's crazy user! I agree you should try again, and if not, call your GP. It sounds as if there's been some cock up with the system if you've disappeared off it.

Back on tiers. Does anyone know when purdah officially starts? And what, if any, implications that will have for potentially changing the dates or relaxations that NS set out on Tuesday? Presumably they can't bring forward the early April or 26th April dates, or change what is allowed then (such as confirming travel to rUK being allowed at the same time as the "planned" travel round mainland Scotland, or confirming what will happen on the islands), as it could be seen as government policy that could influence the election? Would they be allowed to delay things if numbers increase in that time period? (Not that they would want to, but given how they are keen on release from lockdown being driven by "data not dates" there should be the option of changing those dates in response to changing data. But that may not be allowed in purdah).

In forth valley and cat 9 (50-54), got letter today for first jab next week.

latissimusdorsi · 18/03/2021 11:32

@user1487194234
What health board are you? Some are further behind than others. I'm in Lothian and know quite a few folk in late 50s. I would say less than half have had their appointment letter.

user1487194234 · 18/03/2021 11:35

Glasgow

UnderHisAye · 18/03/2021 11:49

For a minute there I thought your cat was getting vaccinated @WaxOnFeckOff Grin

UnderHisAye · 18/03/2021 11:50

Glasgow is quite behind, I think from when I looked yesterday. I was shocked given that's where the highest cases are.

WaxOnFeckOff · 18/03/2021 11:59

@UnderHisAye

For a minute there I thought your cat was getting vaccinated *@WaxOnFeckOff* Grin
Well as the cat is out more than we are and never wears a mask, maybe she should be the one getting jabbed!

I’ve been sent the ‘cake and liberty’ events/action for this coming Saturday. I love the idea of it, though I wouldn’t take a piece of cake from a random stranger pre March 2020, so that bit will be wasted on me. But I’m really into the idea of getting a community connected over the ongoing limits on our freedom.
Worth a google if you feel that way inclined too. I would post the link, but probably get the post pulled down by the self-appointed covid cops.

user1487194234 · 18/03/2021 12:21

Yes hard to understand why Glasgow is behind ,rather than being prioritised

Bytheloch · 18/03/2021 12:22

Actyally, here’s the link in a separate post, so much easier to report that way🤣
www.cakeandliberty.org

Windyone · 18/03/2021 12:23

@dancemom have you heard about your vaccination yet? I am an unpaid carer for my Dad and registered on Monday but still haven’t heard.

UnderHisAye · 18/03/2021 12:28

Why would anyone report your posting the link?

Having read it, that is quite the most British protest I've ever heard of Grin

Eat cake and smile at other people wearing bright colours. Sounds like me most days tbh.

dancemom · 18/03/2021 12:29

@Windyone no, I phoned them and they said they are having technical issues and to call back tomorrow 🤷🏻‍♀️

UnderHisAye · 18/03/2021 12:30

Interesting @dancemom I got a text this morning then a second one an hour later changing the time of my appointment. Something techy going on.

dancemom · 18/03/2021 12:32

@UnderHisAye yes I think so, I'll call them back tomorrow if I don't hear anything.

I genuinely think our post has stopped coming. Very rare to see our postie these days.

dancemom · 18/03/2021 12:36

The first minister confirms a further 624 people have tested positive for Covid-19, which is 2.7% of the tests carried out yesterday.
This takes the total number of positive cases in Scotland to 211,854.
There are 405 people in hospital with recently-confirmed Covid-19, a decrease of 17, and 38 in intensive care, which is the same as yesterday.
An additional seven deaths were reported in the past 24 hours of people who tested positive in the last 28 days, taking the total by that measurement to 7,536.

speedtalker · 18/03/2021 13:25

51,405 people received jabs in Scotland yesterday. I know there's a dip coming, but that's incredible.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 18/03/2021 13:42

Is that the most yet?

ResilienceWanker · 18/03/2021 13:52

I think they were topping 60k for a week or so in Feb. But it's definitely a great number! And if it carries on that will be at over 350k in a week, which is amazing!
