Sorry first bit wasn't clear SG persued a investigation into Alex Salmond outwith the legal proceedings that were occurring into AS sexual harassment claims made by several women

Wannakisstheteacher · 02/03/2021 20:15

Does anyone know when we’ll know exactly what this secondary school blended learning actually entails? DS is in a boarding school in S2, due to break up for Easter on the 19th so trying work out what on earth is going on for him!

Scottishskifun · 02/03/2021 20:16

God I have no idea what happened to my typing there.

Yes 38 times of NS breaking ministerial code by Conservatives dossier document apparently.

Either way its a major headache and not ideal 10 weeks before a election.....

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 20:19

The SG ignored very strong legal advice in the pursuit of their campaign against Salmond; lost the case; cost the taxpayers shedloads of money; never admitted did and tried to bury the legal advice. The name of one of the complainers was also revealed.

The evidence is astonishing. I cannot see how NS can stay on.

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 02/03/2021 20:44

@Wannakisstheteacher I think she said guidance in the next few days. School well local authorities will be able to decide what works for them. Apologies it's not more clear it's just what I remember. So basically they don't know yet.

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 02/03/2021 20:45

Thanks @Scottishskifun that really is astonishing. 38 wow

applesandpears33 · 02/03/2021 21:03

Blended learning. I'm not sure I'm glad my two DC in high school are going back if blended learning is going to mean they get less contact with their teachers than they do at present. Online lessons have their problems but at least my DC who is in S5 and doing highers speaks to his teachers each week. The DC will enjoy seeing their mates though. Younger DC can't wait to get back to primary school. This will be for three weeks rather than two where we are. Our kids don't break up until the Thursday before Easter.

Wannakisstheteacher · 02/03/2021 21:10

@IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 thank you!

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 21:10

@applesandpears33 blended is only up to Easter now back full time after, I understood it.

GirlLovesWorld · 02/03/2021 21:21

Thanks for the summation you guys.

I don't think I can muster that much fury, when I look at what the WM get up to and get an absolutely free ride.

I do think the SNP have hugely lost their way and been allowed to take their power for granted, which has corrupted them over the last couple of years.

Of course the Tories are going to try to destabilise the SNP as they're practically an irrelevance as things stand.

Grin
IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 02/03/2021 21:38

@GirlLovesWorld I actually think fair play to you for seeing that there is possible corruption. Yes we know WM are terrible as NS likes to point out but she has always put herself above that hence why this is so shocking I think. It turns out she's just as bad

Scottishskifun · 02/03/2021 21:42

@GirlLovesWorld I think the moral highroad has been lost. Quite often throughout the pandemic when there has been Westminster scandal NS response has been they should resign. But now the position is on the other foot.

I don't think it's the right time to get NS to leave but maybe it shows that she follows the same political dealings that she shouts about Westminster for. Just my take on it obviously.

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 21:43

I do not see how her position is sustainable

littlbrowndog · 02/03/2021 21:47

Me neither. I am shocked by our government and our first minister and the lord advocate.

The whole lot of them tbh

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 21:50

Yep, me too @littlbrowndog.

Scottishskifun · 02/03/2021 21:51

I suppose selfishly I don't want a govt in free fall as I don't want to go backwards. I want the govt to get to the realisation of many scientists stop chasing "zero covid" and aim for high suppression whilst ensuring economy, education and people's mental health.

But yes it's very dodgy, do I think she will resign...... NOPE. Like I said up the post it smacks of the Dominic Cummings press conference! There may be a apology based on not known but reality is that she won't admit responsibility and the greens are unlikely to go against her so a no confidence vote will fail.

StarryEyeSurprise · 02/03/2021 21:53

Can someone tell me where and when (if it's possible) for us to watch NS giving her evidence tomorrow?

WaxOnFeckOff · 02/03/2021 21:53

Sillars is saying that the thought of independence needs to be put on the backburner and the whole mess and structure of governance needs sorted out and the country then needs to be properly governed. Then, the independence issue can come back into focus.

Personally I'm not currently for independence but I might shift my view if things were being run well.

I think this whole sorry debacle could be looked at in a positive light for the future - let's not tinker about here, lets actually try to get things put into a decent position and get rid of the division in this country and move forward.

WaxOnFeckOff · 02/03/2021 21:55

It's being shown live on BBC Scotland from 9am - i don't know when NS is due to appear though.
WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 21:57

That actually makes perfect sense @WaxOnFeckOff.

That would be quite inspiring as a fresh start for Scotland

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 21:59

Parliament TV shows it I think, and has a schedule of the day’s proceedings @StarryEyeSurprise

OldRailer · 02/03/2021 22:01

Freeview 232.

Coquohvan · 02/03/2021 22:01

It’s the correct time for her to resign.

littlbrowndog · 02/03/2021 22:02

It’s on parliament website

Be glad you missed today from lord advocate.

Never seen such a guy blah blah for hours yet said nothing

But had good zoom background. 🤦‍♀️

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 22:04
