Hello all. Didn't see the new thread.

I will be back in school. So delighted. No clear idea of how it will work for my pupils. But YAY!!!!!

So pleased I will be seeing them all.

Coquohvan · 02/03/2021 17:40

So Brazilian variant - school now linked to this in Scotland. They're tracking contacts of contacts
@StarryEyesSurprise do you have a link for this?

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 02/03/2021 17:44

I speak to pupils every day. I will actually see less of them (the younger ones certainly). I wouldn't be surprised if this pushes a few headteachers over the edge, poor bastards.

GirlLovesWorld · 02/03/2021 17:48

Our headteacher was due to retire last March but stayed on...what a woman! She must be counting the days back to normality so she can walk away knowing her work is done.

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 02/03/2021 17:50

Brave woman!

LoopyGremlin · 02/03/2021 17:54

What a complete faff for HTs to organise a timetable for 2 weeks.

kurtrussellsbeard · 02/03/2021 18:16

It does feel like real progress though.

Good day!

WaxOnFeckOff · 02/03/2021 18:17

@GirlLovesWorld

Wax, come on Grin

You accused me on the last thread of a 'personal attack' because I said I thought you had previously posted in a tone that I consider to be 'over the line'.

But now according to you 'fuck off' isn't a personal attack.

I'm actually laughing at this now

I'm glad you are laughing, we all need a laugh. For the record, this is what I said:

Though I do think specifically following someone around and blaming them for having a different opinion could be considered a personal attack - which is against the rules.

I didn't say that's what you had done. So again, what it is exactly that you think is over the line and what are these things I have apparently done? - clearly I have upset you in a previous guise but you have me at a disadvantage as I don't know what that was or who you were.

And as you now seem to be the decider on what is allowed, it might be nice if you share your rules?

@kurtrussellsbeard

As far as I'm aware you've only accused me once of stealing someone's identity (I'm laughing even as I type. I mean ffs really 🤦🏻‍♀️). You didn't apologise as far as I can remember you just said it was understandable that one would think that given I had so recently name changed Hmm

Calling someone a cunt is different to telling someone to fuck off, yes. Sadly you've done both.

I have literally never moaned about someone posting on a thread. Ever. I think it's appalling behaviour. It's a public chat forum.

I have moaned that I was run off the railing thread because it was a bit shit tbh.

Yes, I accused you once and I did apologise. You accused me of having accused you before and even said when. I checked the thread and it was someone else and I evidenced that.

You might not have moaned about someone being on a thread but you have whinged about the thread tone and topic not suiting you and that you think anti SNP posters dominate and don't allow you to post. You called it a clique and being unwelcoming.

I missed that evidence and the apology tbh. Do you ever wonder that maybe it's not your place to go round accusing people of stealing identities?

I have never whinged about a topic not suiting me. If the topic didn't suit me I'd find a different thread.

Many places on Scotsnet are unwelcoming and are very cliquey. The railing thread being a prime example. I literally said on that thread (the second one) something along the lines of 'well actually we're not all SNP cheerleaders that's not really accurate'. I was then accused of bullying the OP! Next thing lots of Thanks for the op, sorry you had to read that, I hope this thread doesn't get ruined like the other one ... etc Hmm

kurtrussellsbeard · 02/03/2021 18:33

To clarify further because this will be picked up on the OP wasn't feeling well and she felt that I was exacerbating her condition by suggesting that I wasn't an SNP cheerleader on her thread. The bullying accusation came after.

Yes very welcoming Grin

Scottishskifun · 02/03/2021 19:01

In other news.......
Vote of no confidence trying to be scheduled against Nicola Sturgeon......
Think its going to be a rocky week for NS!

WouldBeGood · 02/03/2021 19:39

@Scottishskifun what’s coming out is truly shocking - I wasn’t expecting that

TeacupDrama · 02/03/2021 19:58

seems they don't actually after all have any more integrity than the lot at Westminister

GirlLovesWorld · 02/03/2021 19:59

I still basically don't have a clue what's going on. With work and homeschool etc I've given up on ever figuring it out, I think.

Scottishskifun · 02/03/2021 20:01

Yes claim is 38 breaches of the ministerial code. I do think that it should go to ministerial hearing and obviously give information tomorrow.

The Dominic Cummings press conference springs to mind however!

blowinahoolie · 02/03/2021 20:04

Woo hoo!!!

blowinahoolie · 02/03/2021 20:06

Really pleased we are getting all our DC back into education face to face capacity in less than two weeks 🙌

Yes to this. What a shower
IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 02/03/2021 20:07

@Scottishskifun 38?? My god that is incredible. Where all of them NS?

I'm waiting until it's done. I'll see what the whole story is. I don't have the mental ability to follow it. Every time I think I have it I lose it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Scottishskifun · 02/03/2021 20:10

@GirlLovesWorld I think (and I could be wrong because it's confusing) SG persuade a discredit to Alex Salmond based on sexual harassment claims. Part of the process is staying out of it by senior govt officials..... This appears not to have happened and NS discussed with AS and other members about the claimants which breaks ministerial code as getting involved.

Then in parliament numerous times refused the accusations (so lying to parliament) crucially with the phrase to the best of my knowledge..... Which again is potentially against the ministerial code.

Legal documents then released stated advice to SG from legal team was not likely to be successful in October.... SG ignored and persued anyway at tax payer expense and ultimately found to be illegal and had to pay costs.

So at best it's a cock up on many levels followed by denial.
At worst it was deliberate and all done to discredit AS

Either way its not ideal for a leader who regularly acorns Westminster antics.

ladylunchalot · 02/03/2021 20:12

I'm glad s1-s3 are going to be back at school shortly, it's definitely needed. It's going to be hard enough getting ds back to ASN high school and by being eased in gently for a few days will hopefully make it far easier.
I know many think the older year groups should be given priority but I think s1 have had a shitty time of it with next to no transition to high school then a few months of trying to settle in then being off again.
