As the conversation is interesting and the thread is nearly full. Does it matter if Sturgeon is guilty - do you know or care? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/scotsnet/4153007-Does-it-matter-if-Sturgeon-is-guilty-do-you-know-or-care

yes the tone of posters on Scotsnet, that's the real problem here. Let's focus on that.

Wink [thumbs up]

@mrsrhodgilbert

Watching this from England and not very knowledgeable about the background I’m afraid. A senior official has been mentioned many times, who’s identity is being protected, is his/her identity actually known by everyone there?
Technically no (well, obviously the ones who were involved do), but I think because she was mentioned in a different context and then that was redacted, people have an idea.

(If it's the same one!).

WouldBeGood · 03/03/2021 12:20

Neil Findlay Labour hits the nail on the head about the SNP line today.

Salmond v Sturgeon Round 2.
Amortentia · 03/03/2021 12:21

@Graffitiqueen

I wouldn't worry about it daisy. There's no defence of Nicola so they're trying to deflect as much as possible by picking on language. Spot how they all jumped in, having been silent for most of the rest of the thread.
Who is they? Am I being accused of being sent here to derail this thread to defend Nicola Sturgeon by accusing someone of using an inappropriate word that they did use. WTF? 🤣
kurtrussellsbeard · 03/03/2021 12:21

It's not deflection. It will have no bearing on the outcome. It's just such a drain to read these insults daily. Like I say they stand out even more on a thread like this filled with so many knowledgeable posters who make points without resorting to sexist language 🤷🏻‍♀️

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 12:22

How apposite!! :o)

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 12:25

Important question now

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 03/03/2021 12:25

Just another wasn't me answer

Well this what you do when the facts and the law are against you.

I was thinking about the SNP today and what is known as “gangster politics”. Gangster politics is where you stop having a diversity of opinion in a party and you toe the line or you are out on principle. Because in debating or questioning, you are not loyal and you are out.

This seems especially applicable to the SNP, but it applies much more widely in politics across the UK. It is bad news for everyone except politicians.

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 12:28

What it was appropriate?

But the police said it was inappropriate?

Many of the complainants are SNP and government officials, which was why the SG say they did not release many documents - as it may violate the court order to protect their privacy. However the Spectator mag took a court case to clarify that there was no need to with hold documents which named people in the context of doing their jobs. Given the initial withholding of documents, then redacting, then un-redacting, the SG efforts to obfuscate and hinder the inquiry has probably done more to breach the privacy than anyone. Not to mention their leak to the Daily Record. Sheer hypocrisy when Sturgeon goes on about caring for the women and metoo.
littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 12:31

Haha you are just wrong

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 12:31

FAbiani overstepping here

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 03/03/2021 12:31

Oh dear god what is going on here

dancemom · 03/03/2021 12:32

That's hugely inappropriate

Bytheloch · 03/03/2021 12:32

😱

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 12:32

Good on Mitchell !!

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/03/2021 12:32

She's just claimed she still doesn't know the names of all the women(about 12.04). I find that really pretty hard to believe tbh

jabbathebutt · 03/03/2021 12:33

my mammy who left school with no qualifications and isn't that knowledgeable about politics, is engrossed with it. (she is intelligent enough to hate the SNP though)

picknmix1984 · 03/03/2021 12:34

I've never seen anything like this. It reminds my of that local council Zoom fiasco a couple of weeks ago!

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 12:35

Fabiani just made herself another £500k for her business.
Kerching!

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 03/03/2021 12:35

The twist on this is unreal. So basically they where told not to investigate but they did it anyway?

Peppafrig · 03/03/2021 12:35

I don’t like Salmond or Sturgeon but I watched him and thought he was telling the truth. I don’t trust a word she is saying.
