As the conversation is interesting and the thread is nearly full. Does it matter if Sturgeon is guilty - do you know or care? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/scotsnet/4153007-Does-it-matter-if-Sturgeon-is-guilty-do-you-know-or-care

Why is she finding this so funny

I don’t understand this

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 03/03/2021 11:45

Thanks @Amortentia I don't like the fact the committee members are tweeting either. None of them should be.

Liars constantly distance themselves from the centre of events, they are always on the periphery of everything, are unaware of details, and all such things must be known by 'someone else'.

Does seem that way Alec

I no nothing I don’t recall it. Was someone else

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:48

Amortentia
What does Andrew Marr's ego now have to do with this and that's worth making a sidebar during her supposedly very serious response?

Defend that please. I'm interested to learn

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 11:48

She does seem to be disrespectful

It’s very jarring to watch

anon444877 · 03/03/2021 11:48

You've seen that evidence. No, I've not personally seen that evidence. My recollection differs...I'm sure this is the tone for the entire thing set now.

The question is - are the greens going to back the no confidence, I can't see this shaking out any other way now, her very own Thatcher moment.

sessell · 03/03/2021 11:50

@ATieLikeRichardGere

Sessell are you able to expand on your point?
Really I'm just confused. So it's an honest question. Why would she essentially call Aberdein and a corroborating QC liars - only to protect the 'senior official' who they say told aberdein the name of a complainer. There is such a huge level of evidence on this so her position is ridiculous and very very damaging for her. The cover up is damaging. But why cover this point up? I can't see that it would damage sturgeon herself. Basically what am I missing here?? It does reinforce the idea of conspiracy and having to protect someone who has huge power because of their knowledge. What other explanation could there be?
Bejazzled · 03/03/2021 11:51

How is this appropriate during an ongoing enquiry? Has he no intelligence or professionalism at all....

Our Justice Minister is now awfy quiet on TwitterHmm Perhaps he read his job description during the recess?

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:53

What a masterclass in putting up flags here there and everywhere to avoid answering 'Did you authorise the press release?'

Sturgeon: 'when it comes to the file, forgive me the file that blah, did I do I do I do do dooo, Salmond fiddled with some women, not for me to say, that's for the committee, blah blah and let's not forget Alec Salmond couldn't keep his hands off women'

@sessell that is what I am thinking and I don’t get it why she would say they are both liars Aberdein and a QC! Who is she protecting and why? Can anyone explain this please?

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:56

Amortentia
You're a fan of Sturgeon.
MRDA...
If you're not happy here you might be more at home on the National. No-one's making you read this

Still awaiting why you feel referring to Marr's ego is good use of the committee's limited time.

Ohnomoreno · 03/03/2021 11:56

I'm so outraged by her attempt to deflect front eh actual issue, which is misleading parliament, and pretend the issue is salmonds behaviour. He is odious, yes, but that is not the subject of the investigation, and she is trying to make it about women's rights. That is embarrassing and she should be ashamed

Bytheloch · 03/03/2021 11:58

She’s switched into ‘do we really need to keep going over this...?’ mode. Answering as though she has somewhere else to be.

Amortentia · 03/03/2021 11:58
@Amortentia Have you been watching her? She IS being bitchy.
I am watching it. I'm also able to avoid using misogynistic language. It's not hard.

Don’t get drawn in to the deliberate deflection tactics, best ignored 👍

You're being disingenuous here. Just trying to close down a discussion.
Men are perfectly capable of being bitchy.

'bitchy
/ˈbɪtʃi/
adjectiveINFORMAL
malicious or spitefully critical.'
