As the conversation is interesting and the thread is nearly full. Does it matter if Sturgeon is guilty - do you know or care? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/scotsnet/4153007-Does-it-matter-if-Sturgeon-is-guilty-do-you-know-or-care

Also complaining he didn't express regret for his behaviour during his testimony to committee...

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 03/03/2021 09:33

So have I just heard that she's saying the stuff that came out last night means nothing and proves nothing?

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 09:34

Oh and the information doesn't show anything so it's all good.

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 09:34

'I recused myself' for the enquiry, what's that got to do with it? [She should have stood down during the enquiry.]
'the material was not in the control of the Government' ???!!
'not intention of the Govt to withhold'
'I have waited a long long time to be sitting here while claims swirl around'
Then more me, me, me. Poor me

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 09:34

Delay fairly squarely on SG not releasing documents

dementedma · 03/03/2021 09:35

Wittering already. Long winded answers not answering the questiond

PresentingPercy · 03/03/2021 09:36

Apparently it’s “absurd” they were going after Salmond. Really? Doesn’t look like that from any logical position.

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 09:36

Lots of "we" and "the government" when challenged.

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 09:36

Wittering indeed

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 09:37

I'm afraid she just shows repeatedly with her testy, irascible attitude why she's very very bad at her job. Her voice gets louder and louder
The woman has never been fit for this role. We never elected her after all. She was 'elected' by 63 SNP MSPs after inheriting the job

anon444877 · 03/03/2021 09:37

He didn't express regret? Talk about immaterial to the matters in hand.

theotherfossilsister · 03/03/2021 09:39

The Charles Kennedy article is heartbreaking. I met him when I was a kid and he was lib dem leader. He put out his hand to me and said 'hello, Charles Kennedy.' I was young and confused and says 'hello Charles Kennedy' back.

I had no idea the SNP orchestrated such a bike campaign.

I voted for independence in 2014. I was younger and swept up in the seeming romance and justice of the movement but I had no real understanding. I hate the SNP and their bullying and exclusion now, with a passion. I naively believed then that Scotland could become some lovely left wing utopia.

PresentingPercy · 03/03/2021 09:42

I do think the referendum in Scotland brought out the worst in everyone supporting independence. There wasn’t tolerance of another opinion. It got increasingly awful - even as someone from England I found it tribal and appalling. Almost like a civil war without weapons. I continue to believe nationalism anywhere eventually leads to instability and deep divisions. I am no fan of tribal politics but nationalism has a nasty edge because people who oppose it are somehow traitors. Now the vile politics and behaviour is contained in the ruling party. It needs to stop.

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 09:44

'Youre a champion of women, were you not worried about allegations?'
Folds her arms

OldRailer · 03/03/2021 09:44

Didn't like that.

dementedma · 03/03/2021 09:45

Ooft Margaret Mitchell going for her

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 09:45

Ms Mitchell just told her off

Dinnafashyersel · 03/03/2021 09:45

There is no such thing as "Civic" or indeed civil "Nationalism".

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 09:45

For talking about salmond

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 09:45

So it's 5 ministers, but she has no idea what that is about as she doesn't know...?

TokyoSushi · 03/03/2021 09:46

Right, I'm here, and have been listening/watching since 9!

Interesting that the committee are giving her a much rougher time than they did with Salmond (I need to have a look who Miss Mitchell is as she's clearly livid with her)

Absolutely fascinating.

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 09:46

Oh no Maureen watt

anon444877 · 03/03/2021 09:46

I still believe Scotland can become a lovely left wing utopia, I don't think they need full independence to do it though. The SNP have powers over income tax.

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 09:46

Percy: 'There wasn’t tolerance of another opinion.'
I'm sure you agree the SNP has distorted not only our politics 7 years ago but our entire social and cultural fabric with their faux war and constant dividing of our once happy country

Albless · 03/03/2021 09:47

45 minutes in, and she's looking and sounding really rattled.
