We have a lot of construction workers traveling into Scotland from England daily and vice versa. If Nicola had wanted to stop it she could have closed sites this lockdown but she didn’t . Many sites wouldn’t be able to operate without the English workers coming . It Amazes me that the brainwashed believe she closed the borders . Thousands are crossing for work everyday .

@RaspberryCoulis

On quarantine - he was asked about the practicalities of what would happen with someone flying into Manchester, who lives in Stirling.

He said they're still working on it.... Hmm Lots of guff about how we would have eliminated the virus in the summer if we hadn't gone and imported those nasty english foreign variants.

This makes me laugh, like last summer when they were squeaking about folk coming on holiday which was a much needed economic boost for the Scottish tourism and hospitality industry crossing the invisible border.

JL sets my teeth on edge- no pun intended- every time I hear him patronising us with his waffle.

@NotAnActualSheep

But hey, today we're looking at arguments for and against Scottish independence, so no need to be able to measure angles for that.
DS had a topic which included the fabulous transport links into Scotland by road, rail, air and sea.

Once you get here there are apparently very good transport links to the whole of Scotland, making for easy travel 🤷🏻‍♀️

There's a covid outbreak at the place Johnson visited for his 'Save the Union' photoshoot. Angry

Lockdownbear · 03/02/2021 10:22

I'll give teachers credit they've been teaching fractions, irregular and mixed, my heads burst.

But if they had said this we going to be 2 months for nursery kids and 3-4 for school parents could plan. Families could sort bubbles and help appropriately.

Scunnered with the whole lot of it.

The lab he 'had' to visit, although he probably bypassed dozens of other labs on his way to this one?
jabbathebutt · 03/02/2021 10:44

JL is fucking everywhere. He loves the sound of his own voice. Him and Nicola are peas in a pod.

That's a bit misleading I didn't agree with his visit either but the covid cases were confirmed before he visited
jabbathebutt · 03/02/2021 10:47

what's that got to do with Boris? Just because he was there are you doing a Nicola and implying a big bad English boy is to blame?

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/02/2021 10:51

That's what I was about to ask, do we know from track and trace that he or the crew were the source or is it a coincidence? We have a breakout at our local bus depot but pretty sure he wasn't there.

OP posts:
titsbumfannythelot · 03/02/2021 10:55

We also have breakouts everywhere because the 🦠 is endemic.

jabbathebutt · 03/02/2021 10:57

have reported that post for anti English sentiment. The implication is clear.

Break out was identified 24 hours before he arrived. Nothing to do with his visit, track and trace is generally 1-2 days behind and a public health is another few days behind that as its track and trace who will have flagged it once it got to a certain number. So everyone should have already been isolating after case 1/2 it's a bit of a non story/string the pot tbh.
WaxOnFeckOff · 03/02/2021 11:03

Yes, but let's not let the facts get in the way of a soundbite to stir it up and divert from other shit shows

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/02/2021 11:10

So someone visited a place after covid wad identified in said place, but despite it having been there before the visitor arrived, the visitor somehow caused it?

He's the prime minister not Dr fucking Who

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/02/2021 11:14

Dr Who. 😂😂

I think you win today Statistically.

I wonder what the response will be to the offer of help with the vaccine roll out from Westminster?

OP posts:
LetItGoGo · 03/02/2021 11:43

Oh please throw everything at vaccination.

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/02/2021 11:52

This is like a game of chess (well it would be more so if it wasn't about something so important)

To accept help makes it look like they are failing but to refuse and not catch up quickly will be political suicide no?

Potentially damned either way...

Your move Nicola.

Surely it's bonkers to refuse?! If the importance is about getting everyone vaccinated, getting economy back as quickly as possible then any help to do so should be welcomed???!!!

I will be pretty angry if she doesn't as it then put politics above health!

shouldistop · 03/02/2021 11:56

@WaxOnFeckOff have they offered help?!

That's excellent, if NS refuses it will look like she cares more about politics than our lives and if she accepts she'll be admitting we need England.

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/02/2021 11:57

Grin Yup. Think Highlands, think easy access, accessible public transport, flawless infrastructure and no diversions at Rest and Be Thankful at all....

I have no opinions about Boris' visit, and intensely dislike the man, but even I'm not convinced he is responsible for a covid breakout at a covid testing lab in a hospital, from several hundred miles away. I can think of other more likely routes of infection, frankly.
