Nursery school 👏👏👏

Sad for everyone else and their older children.

So hard

Wonderful news about your dad’s vaccine. It’s such a beacon of light when it comes. We are waiting for Dad’s letter. He’s in His 70s so soon now.

StarryEyeSurprise · 02/02/2021 19:00

Thanks. I have only seen him twice the last 12 months . I was thinking Easter so it's good! Need to figure out when we can meet up safely.

StarryEyeSurprise · 02/02/2021 19:01

Thanks Monday. Hope your dad's comes soon.

titsbumfannythelot · 02/02/2021 19:06

Good to hear of so many of your relatives getting the vaccine 💉

anon444877 · 02/02/2021 19:18

My parents are getting jabbed Friday. It could be the nice Italian red we've celebrated school news with but perhaps the end may be in sight?

I'm cautiously hopeful the older kids will get a return date in 2 weeks....

Elvesaremagic · 02/02/2021 19:24

My parents are in their 70s (Fife) and have heard nothing. Know some in their 80s who have also heard nothing. It’s ridiculous.

makingitupaswegoon · 02/02/2021 19:25

My parents also in fife heard nothing too. Meanwhile family in England (early 80s and mid-late 70s) all received first dose.

titsbumfannythelot · 02/02/2021 19:26

I think we are all feeling cautiously optimistic tonight.

Life will be a bit easier with the youngest dc at school, and hopefully dh can get back to work next month too.

I also saw on bbc news that the AZ vaccine could potentially stop transmission too, that would be immense.

kurtrussellsbeard · 02/02/2021 19:27

@titsbumfannythelot that would be amazing.

Peppafrig · 02/02/2021 19:30

She said today unpaid carers will get their letters for their vaccinations third week in Feb I was expecting to have to wait till June or July I’m pleasantly surprised . The vaccination calculator for Scotland can’t be accurate.

StarryEyeSurprise · 02/02/2021 19:30

Yes . Does feel like we've turned a corner. Wee ones being back in school will help so many families.

shouldistop · 02/02/2021 19:33

What will they deem an unpaid carer? Anyone who claims carers allowance? Will they get the contact details from dwp then?

Sweetpotatoaddict · 02/02/2021 19:35

They are going to have to increase rate of immunisations dramatically to meet their stated projections.

very pleased to hear pre-schooler and primary 1-3 to return, although not for 3 weeks.

Nice Chilean red to celebrate in our house tonight.

titsbumfannythelot · 02/02/2021 19:38

Seems like a few of us have hit the vino, cheers

MrsAmaretto · 02/02/2021 19:38

Just realised my daughter won't be going back to school on the 22nd as we have a local holiday! 😂😂🤦‍♀️

People are other threads are saying you need to be registered with a GP as unpaid carer but I’ve never been told this . Plus a lot people earn over the £128 so don’t get carers allowance even though they care for people full time .
shouldistop · 02/02/2021 19:41

@Peppafrig I wouldn't think a gp would have a register of carers, why would they?
My mil cares for disabled bil, wonder if she should contact her gp

blowinahoolie · 02/02/2021 19:41

sweetpotatoaddict it's a shame it's three weeks away, but I will take this over not knowing. Children need to get back with their friends. Counting down already, DH out buying the wine just now. Cheers everyoneWine

blowinahoolie · 02/02/2021 19:42

🤞 for the older children getting back to school too, very soon. They shouldn't be forgotten about either.

Wbeezer · 02/02/2021 19:45

DS3 is doing Higher Art so I'm hoping he'll get to go in to work on his practical coursework, it would be a nice way to break up the week for him and he has an abandoned design project left in school that needs worked on.

WouldBeGood · 02/02/2021 19:46

Not cheery here, but on the wine anyway.

It’s all so bloody slow. Feeling really bad for my boy.

shouldistop · 02/02/2021 19:47

@WouldBeGood Thanks fingers crossed for good news at the next review.

I’m not sure can’t do any harm to contact them . I have underlying entitlement to carers allowance even though I don’t actually receive payment so I just assumed they would get details from DWP

WouldBeGood · 02/02/2021 19:48

I am glad for all those whose kids are going back, and whose parents are vaccinated though
