tits - yes, I just didn't phrase it very well.

I just want the SNP to put their infighting to one side and run the country

WaxOnFeckOff · 29/01/2021 21:28

I think the problem is that the SNP are a one issue political movement group and not an actual political party with the desire and ability to run a country.

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 29/01/2021 21:33

@WaxOnFeckOff

I mean I know I don't like the SNP but actually I'm finding that is a bit of a side issue in my head, I'm just more interested in watching it all play out - I'm no expert so just picking up the overall story without a mastery of the intricacies or legal system and it's like watching House of Cards or something but you can't binge the episodes to see what happens in the end.
I'm not overly pro SNP either, but I'm pro-separating from Westminster so unfortunately they're the only game in town.

Thanks for the explanation!

titsbumfannythelot · 29/01/2021 21:35

In an ideal world who would you vote for @IncludeWomenInTheSequel? If you don't mind saying

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 29/01/2021 21:37

Hmm good question! I've voted for all parties in the past from the SSP to Labour.
I had high hopes for Starmer but he's too anti-Indy ref. As are the Lib Dems. And a Green vote...nah. Too anti-women.

You see my problem Grin

I'm not ideologically opposed to independence at some point but the SNP have shown themselves as unable to run a country and if or when independence comes it will be a long time before we can get rid of them. I'm in my mid 50s, i can't see Scotland being a decent place to be in my lifetime.

I'd rather have a decently run country and then think about independence from there if we felt we needed it.

I'd prefer a more libertarian left leaning government, I'm a traditional Labour voter.

"Is Scotland going to have even the youngest back mid Feb?"

🤞 Really hope so. Wishing my life away now for Tuesday announcement next week.

WouldBeGood · 29/01/2021 21:52

I’m totally opposed to independence now oas there is no actual plan, it’s pie in the sky and all Braveheart stuff. I do not want a hard border with England. Imagine not being able to pop over the border to a shop and but cheese and ham to bring home. Ludicrous.

But my beef with the SNP is separate. The writing out of women is unforgivable

WouldBeGood · 29/01/2021 22:08

And apologies for political post - just fed up

Tomorrowisanewday · 29/01/2021 22:18

Laphroaig was the first whisky I drank, when I was 18, and still a favourite, but your cocktail sounds brutal WouldBeGood

Tomorrowisanewday · 29/01/2021 22:20

Me too. I've tried to be optimistic about everything since March but I've been struggling since Boxing Day

WouldBeGood · 29/01/2021 22:25

@Tomorrowisanewday I’m hardcore

readsalotgirl63 · 29/01/2021 22:27

Sorry just catching up and very late to the party. Regards singing up as an extra - dd did this about 2 years ago and got work - she was in the background in "The Nest" . Said it was great fun and the money came in handy.
I like Laphroag but adding anything spoils itGrin
