I've name changed for this.
Had a wee look over on that page tonight as I have a ( possible ex) friend who's really active there and shares things all the time.
There is a post on tonight where people are actively threatening to take on the police as they have " weapons to match them ". I get we are all scunnered but I'm really worried by it. It has nothing to do with keeping schools open or protecting children!

Sorry it's not working

fuckweasel · 21/01/2021 19:02

This is superb; the Call to Action drinking game. I can’t do links to Twitter but it was posted by H Bertinelli yesterday.

I get very fan girly about her Tweets. Stays cool, intellectual and reasoned.

Call to Action drinking game is genius!

StarryEyeSurprise · 21/01/2021 22:46

mobile.twitter.com/hbertinelli1

Just had a good read of her page. I must admit that mumsnet seems to be full of those she talks about (hospitals aren't really that full, schools need to open now, I don't consent, Ivor Cummings, lockdowns don't work, the FM is picking on Aberdeen/ Edinburgh etc).

Seeing some of the stats has made me feel slightly more apprehensive about being in school but I love seeing the children so I'll put it to the back of my mind tomorrow!

StarryEyeSurprise · 21/01/2021 22:54

Also good that she's calling out the similarities between the UK Government and Trump.

Lidlfix · 24/01/2021 15:40

Neil McKay's article in The Herald Scotland is a great read. He gave them plenty of chances to respond. And I wonder if they actually read aloud their words . Suffice to say their own responses make them look even worse.

namechanchange · 24/01/2021 16:59

@Lidlfix everything about that article is interesting, the links to Brexit and government advisors. There is more on Twitter eventually linking to dark money, Steve Bannon and the Trump regime. It's absolutely horrendous. It was the call to protest that led me to start their thread and with these links it's really worrying how much crossover is there between the call to protest at the capitol and posts on UfT inciting violence, guns and fighting the police. I can't post photos on here but have saved screenshots. Posting them on Twitter would be too outing for me so don't know what to do with them!

StarryEyeSurprise · 24/01/2021 17:06

Can you not just click the paperclip? I'm away to read the article..

namechanchange · 24/01/2021 17:21

@StarryEyeSurprise the app won't let me access my photo library

Lidlfix · 24/01/2021 17:24

Namechange you could DM James McEnaney , Helen Bertinelli or the expose group. I am sure they will help to share what you found without compromising your anonymity.

Goingdooolally · 24/01/2021 18:24

God Jo Bisset’s responses are shocking in that article. 😱 Cringe.

Larry comes across pretty well I think (apart from the parents should educate their own children comment which is a bit inflammatory!)

iquitelikenormalityafterall · 24/01/2021 18:31

It was a bit cringe but I was shocked by Larry. He basically said they’re your kids, you look after them! No hope for a balanced discussion from all parties concerned in that article. Makes me worry so much for the kids!

Groovee · 07/02/2021 18:25

Someone has tried to invoice the council for having their child at home!

Mistressiggi · 07/02/2021 18:27

No way! I wonder could that work both ways - if I've had to give up a lunchtime to do a detention for their dc, could I invoice the parents at my usual hourly rate? Grin

Bloodypunkrockers · 07/02/2021 19:37

@Groovee

Someone has tried to invoice the council for having their child at home!
I hadn't been reading their page lately but for gods sake

I'm embarrassed for him. We all know parents like that.

Lidlfix · 08/02/2021 07:07

The admins turned off commenting on the thread. Just like the they did on some of the ones which were in reaction to the announcement about early years and P1-3. The infighting still can get nasty and the teacher bashing (we don't bash teachersWink) still there. I have reported a few articles, and was pleased to see them removed and a few Tweets and the accounts are disappearing.

Groovee · 08/02/2021 07:51

Demanding taxes back etc won't get their children back quicker.

WaxOnFeckOff · 08/02/2021 09:06

You can add photos/screenshots if you go into the desktop site on your phone. I can't add anything via the app either.

Lidlfix · 24/02/2021 08:23

Fave fake teechur alert! She forgot her own (fake) weans' names and was called out. No longer an admin . All the fantastic posts are deleted from FB and those who made them kicked out, of course, but there to see on Twitter.

Was so clearly not a teacher to anyone with very basic literacy skills, even allowing for typos and predictive text slips. Aside from talking of her days off for planning, SSP for isolating, having to be told that she maybe shouldn't share so much (fictional) information about her class, and publicly slagging (her own employer) the work her ( also probably imaginary) DC had been given - forgetting your weans' names and being very pregnant since last March is a bit of a give away.

I wanted to giggle but the sad side of this deceit is that many unfortunate duped members did fall for it and thought she was an example of a good, caring teacher.

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 24/02/2021 09:47

ShockShock
I remember her. She did a lot of damage I think.

StarryEyeSurprise · 24/02/2021 10:09

Yes - wouldn't know an apostrophe if it hit her in the face! Really sad someone would do that. Must have taken a decent amount of her time.

That's the problem with social media- anyone can pretend to be someone they're not.

kurtrussellsbeard · 24/02/2021 11:10

There's another teacher on there just now saying that she is an English teacher and advising parents that the work the kids are doing at home can and will be used as evidence for their final grades.

I know for a fact that's inaccurate. All evidence has to gathered under exam conditions for English and cannot be work that is completed at home.

Horrifying.

kurtrussellsbeard · 24/02/2021 11:11

I'm not banned btw as I thought I was. I thought I had been but it just doesn't come up In a search which is weird.

I

StarryEyeSurprise · 24/02/2021 11:16

That's the same as me Kurt. Weird.

Oh my goodness, that will stress so many parents out.
