First time round, people were genuinely frightened that they'd die on the street after coming into contact with someone, now the vast majority of us are not.
Hospitals don't appear to be overwhelmed- would be interested to hear from any Scottish Mners who do work in a hospital to confirm or deny this - and some or many of us are now suspicious of the daily figures being pedalled.
Also the tiers system has become a huge disincentive to compliance. Edinburgh figures have consistently gone down - but we seem to be stuck in Tier 3 forever. That and tier zero which is allegedly normal, not being anything like normal means that there's less incentive to follow the rules.
That being said, apart from my fairly necessary trip to my DPs and a trip over city lines to return something to Nike - which I think is allowed based on my reading of the guidelines - we have been following the rules. Oh and having my friend in for coffee as her teen was having a mental health crisis. I'd do all of those things again, as they were the right thing to do.
Out of my friends and work colleagues, we appear to be amongst the very few who are planning a visit to relatives over the Christmas period. Everyone else seems so resigned now, like there's no point hoping for better times, or I guess just more compliant than we are.
