Just thought I would start this thread as the results day will be here before we know it as the summer is flying past!

Dd has already seen next year's timetable and has 4 exams in 5 days!

Fabby hiding.:) hope he didn't get an extra anatomy lesson this morning.

Come on postie or DS2.

Steppenwolfe · 09/08/2016 09:15

Yaaayy Hiding !!! So pleased for you both 🌟🎈🌟🎈🌟

prettybird · 09/08/2016 09:15

Congratulations to the those that have got results so far. Everyone seems to have done well enough to take their desired next step.

Ds' school supposedly had teachers in yesterday (so they'll have an inkling of who might having challenges so that they could prepare, as they get to see the results early Confused) and definitely has teachers in today for upset kids to discuss their options.

Steppenwolfe · 09/08/2016 09:18

DDs are in tomorrow....with an ominous text saying "specific pupils" will be called information an appointmentto discuss results ShockDD nearly passed out ! 😂

Steppenwolfe · 09/08/2016 09:18

WankersHacksandThieves · 09/08/2016 09:44

saw a bit on BBC saying Po working flat out to get results out as they appreciated how anxious people are and that they have children too!

Groovee · 09/08/2016 09:53

Dd still at work for another 2 hours. Hoping she rushes home.

MIL phoned thinking she must have done badly! My mum turned up at the door.

Neighbour says her dd won't open until UCAS updates!

Great news hiding, cadsuname and everyone else

Grovee - these are great results . Maths was tricky this year , my DD got an A1 in the prelim and 80s in the class tests and got a B .

Steppenwolfe · 09/08/2016 10:14

Brilliant Groovee🎈🌟🎈🌟🎈

Kr1stina · 09/08/2016 10:15

BTW For future reference - My SQA allows them an email address as well as a mobile number. So DD used my email address as she doesn't really use hers , apparently email is so last century and no one uses it !

So my email arrived at 8:19 and her text at 8:00

WankersHacksandThieves · 09/08/2016 10:31

well done your DD Groovee, and anyone else I've missed, still patiently waiting here. DS2 loves his birthday gift and is busy tidying his bedroom to accommodate it (bass guitar, amp and various gubbins)

Groovee · 09/08/2016 10:34

Wankers I thought we would be last x

WankersHacksandThieves · 09/08/2016 10:35

he says he definitely hasn't signed up, so I'll just have to wait. :(

Cheerfullygo4 · 09/08/2016 10:35

9 A's at Nat 5. Big relief in this house especially after the Maths and two older sisters who did well. We had told her there was no pressure, emphasised that she worked hard and she was different to her sisters but she obviously was still thinking about it. She is happy and even happier that she can now drop maths!

Groovee · 09/08/2016 10:35

I predicted maths right

Council are reporting a small increase in overall results. fingers crossed.

Steppenwolfe · 09/08/2016 10:39

Brilliant results everyone..... you are a clever lot ! 😎🤓

rogueantimatter · 09/08/2016 10:53

Well done everyone. dotdot - your DD must surely have a very strong case for an appeal. Still very good grades. Well done her.

DS got AAAAB - what he hoped for - same as Kr1stina. The B was for geography! Unexpectedly got an A in English. Considering asking the school if the geog would be worth requesting a remark as he did very well in the prelim. However last year he did well in the prelim then got a B in nat5 geog. He's too complacent about geography! Also it feels greedy to try to quibble when he's done better than predicted by the school.

DS requested an Indian takeaway for dinner. Very happy to oblige Grin

Groovee · 09/08/2016 10:57

Dh and dd are both working tonight so going out on Friday x

Well done to everyone, I just hope it gets easier over the next few years but I doubt it. Wink
