FFS. Feel like we've had three weeks in October, possibly November.

I feel quite guilt as we are having lovely weather in EAnglia. I just hope yours improves as we are going to be in Scotland in 3 weeks.

Slightly off topic but California Girl also loved Irvine and Easterhouse and she thinks our "public transportation " is incredible.

Take her to Edinburgh and blow her mind!

I should make it clear that CG is here as an intern and the exotic trips have been for work. She has been to Edinburgh and Perth and is living in Glasgow.
She is just so enthusiastic and pleasant and has made me appreciate Scotland through her eyes.

That's actually quite sweet. Imagine how much more she'd love it when the sun shines if it ever does again

Well friendof she is here till September so surely we will have some sun before them. I am off to Pollok tomorrow ( oh the glamour) and I am admitting defeat and wearing tights!

I'd love to live in Scotland but the weather would kill me....only because DP would moan even more then he does now about weather in London!! I feel like saying just f* off to Spain then.

Anyway, the washing woes are the same

I wonder if this is worth the money?

Cerealqueen, we had horizontal rain earlier today so it wouldn't be worth it

Y'all need a heated clothes horse (Lakeland....). Tremendous invention.

I remember one year I bought a new whirly. It rained every single day for weeks. Desperately need a new one now but convinced it will snow if I do that.

I went to Easterhouse City Centre once on a Sunday. It edged the Milton Keynes roundabouts but it was a close run thing.

Scottish Gas are just finishing off their service. They put the heating on for a trial run and I have decided to forget to turn it off for the rest of the day.

Another stinking day HmmHmmHmm

What annoys me is the mud, just washed the floors again, everytime the dog goes out for a pee she comes in with muddy feet same with the DC, they occasionally get out to play come in caked in mud.

Beautiful day here in the north east - can't believe how awful weather is in southern England!

Today has been fine in Fifeshire. My kids were in the water at Kinshaldy beach. Not toasty but still acceptable compared to earlier this week.

Just pouring in the Highlands.
My house is really clean though because there is something wrong with the car and the rain washed out a trip to the park so tackled the house instead.

I've just got my hot water bottle out of the cupboard, where it lives for summer. It's bloody freezing.

Report
OneNight · 28/07/2015 11:54

The temperature in the house keeps sliding down gradually and the place is starting to become vaguely damp. It won't be long before the heating goes back on I think.

it's truly awful today. Totally depressing

Even my bed feels damp - and that's with the heating having been on. Truly grim. Glasgow City centre was full of wet, bedraggled tourists today. I felt so sorry for them. Sad
