View from the patio
What do you think it is it worth

Depends who owns the land. It’s worth nothing if someone can whack a dirty great building in the way and block the view.

Honeyroar · 12/07/2020 22:13

Depends what’s behind the camera! A big house, a shed, a busy road, a tip..

notagoodidea · 12/07/2020 22:14

The land you can see is the garden of the house, no development unless the owner does it

What an odd question!

ConnellWaldronsChain · 12/07/2020 22:15

Do you mean in relation to house price?

Location obviously has a massive impact on pricing but it's impossible to put a price purely on the view

SkinnyChicky · 12/07/2020 22:17

About tree fiddy.

notagoodidea · 12/07/2020 22:18

There is a large detached house behind the camera, the question is really how would the location / view affect your decision if you were house hunting ?

We want a house with a view like that. But the house does matter too. And location...

ConnellWaldronsChain · 12/07/2020 22:23

I imagine that the waterfront location and view will attract lots of interest for the property (although might put off prospective buyers with young children)

Northernsoullover · 12/07/2020 22:25

Is that in Scotland? Lake District? Wales? Cornwall? So many variables..

Peakypolly · 12/07/2020 22:28

This is the view from the balcony of an apartment I own, and I can tell you that it cost 10% more than the identical apartment with a pleasant garden/fell view but no glimpse of the lake.
That was 3 years ago.
Does that help at all?

Depends if the road is busy. Also where you are. But if you are asking if two exact same houses were being valued but one had no view, then I would guess 30k

Morechocmorechoc · 12/07/2020 22:30

just saw your update. It seems you've answered your own question!

notagoodidea · 12/07/2020 22:31

Location is Scotland 35 miles west of Glasgow or roughly an hour commute if you were working in Glasgow.

That is nice Peaky

I thought it was on Arran when I first looked.

It's a lovely view, no idea how to answer the question though.

MargotMoon · 12/07/2020 22:35

Is that Wemyss Bay?

Beautiful view.

Nothing for me. I like urban views. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

creamorwhite · 12/07/2020 22:44

The view is lovely but the road interrupts it, even if it's not that busy. I think a house with the same garden but without a view of the lake would be about £25k less.

If it’s Helensburgh less than £300k

notagoodidea · 12/07/2020 22:50
