You might remember I was on FortheBest's thread talking about my abusive relationship.
Well I'm out...it's early days and things are up in the air at the moment. Police are involved and I'm in a safe place but I've done it

congrats xxxxxxxxx

Surprise · 26/01/2010 13:21

Well done! I don't know your story but to get out of any relationship is hard, but particuarly an abusive one. Stay strong and enjoy your new life x

NicknameTaken · 26/01/2010 13:24

Hurray! Glad you're safe now. Your situation was horrendous and I'm thrilled to hear that you're out.

SleighGirl · 26/01/2010 13:25

Well done, very glad to here that you're now safe.

Onwards and upwards.

OrdinarySAHM · 26/01/2010 13:25

That sounds incredibly brave and I admire anyone who manages to do it. I hope you build yourself the wonderful life we all deserve now and see how worth it the hard things you have done are x

Forthebest · 26/01/2010 13:25

Bloody hell Roxie and you were convinced I would be out before you, instead I fell for the oldest line in the century and am still trapped in this ridiculous life.

I am so pleased for you I feel a bit teary. How did it happen ? What did he say ? What was your breaking point ?

You sound so exhilarated.

Do you have any DC ??

Sorry for all the questions, just.........jealous I think ??

Well done ((((((((())))))))))

kinnies · 26/01/2010 13:32

Bloody hell, I wasnt expecting that!
Well done!

cestlavielife · 26/01/2010 14:32

well done - be prepared for a long road ahead but stick to your guns... get all the support you can

ILoveGregoryHouse · 26/01/2010 15:04

Roxi. You rock.

ItsGraceAgain · 26/01/2010 15:53

!!!!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/01/2010 16:08

That is brilliant, brilliant news. Well done Roxi!!!!!

You can do it too FTB, you are not trapped. You can actually walk out of that door with your DCs, today if you like. I know it's not as simple as that, but it's the first step to freedom.

AnyFucker · 26/01/2010 16:16

well done roxi !

FTB... your time will come

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/01/2010 16:29

Sorry just caught up with the other thread - do chuck him back out FTB, you're strong now.

MorrisZapp · 26/01/2010 16:37

Aw that's just awesome. Superb work roxi.

Stay strong - the worst sounds like it's over now. Onwards and upwards kid.

nickelbabe · 26/01/2010 16:40

well done Roxi, stay strong.

roxi09 · 26/01/2010 16:49

Thanks for being so supportive
There was an incident on saturday just gone, not as serious as the others but I just thought if I don't report it now I am stuck here waiting for it to happen again.
Spent 5 hours in the police station and they are taking it really seriously.
I'd just had enough. So me and the two kids are somewhere safe waiting to get our house back and for him to get arrested.
Solicitors next for non molestation, occupation and residency oders and DIVORCE!!

roxi09 · 26/01/2010 16:52

Just wanted to say I agonized so much about going to the police, the fallout I am still expecting is huge, and I do feel really really sorry for him (so still messed up in the head!). But I know it's the best thing and I'm out and safe, what a great feeling, and it wasn't really that hard to do
Got a long road ahead, but at least I'm on it.

Congrats!!!

Hope you and your DC have a happy future ahead of you!

When your DC are older they will be so happy that you saved them from such a toxic environment .

You put the happiness of yourself, and most importantly, your DC first - well done!

AnyFucker · 26/01/2010 18:03

roxi, please stick around and tell us how you get on

and when the dust settles, you would be a valuable rsource on here for others...

Alambil · 26/01/2010 19:51

Excellent news, Roxi - well done!!

Go all the way with the police and keep saying to yourself "he brought this upon himself".

overmydeadbody · 26/01/2010 19:53

Well done! I hope your post inspires others to leve too!

PinkFluffyslippers · 26/01/2010 20:10

Well done

Unlikelyamazonian · 26/01/2010 20:15

Well done roxi. Brave girl. Keep on knowing you can keep on going!

macdoodle · 26/01/2010 20:18

Oh well done you go girl
yes its the expectation of the fallout thats the hardest, the wondering and waiting how they will react, but actually its ok, because you arent there to deal with it, so you can close the door/walk away/put the phone down!
And it gets better and easier!

Ready4anothercoffee · 26/01/2010 20:18

Well done!

from experiance though, are you sure it's good to go back to the house? One to ponder over

well done though, stay strong 't's a rollercoaster ride but worth it.
