13 weeks and boy was it sore!!!! my little man is now 16 weeks and i have had sex all of 2 times and neither of them good. Hoping this will improve. Must try some wine before trying next time!!!

MrsMedders · 30/03/2005 15:32

About 9 weeks, had had lots of stitches but was OK physically, was more psychological really...not much regular action until after stopped breastfeeding at 6 1/2 mths, my whammers were that big it was just too awkward and messy........
Good news is stitches have made things alot cosier down there now.........

Keane · 30/03/2005 15:37

Keane! Seriously?

After dd's birth it was I think about 10 -12 months (very bad year - I had major abdominal surgery, pnd, we nursed and then lost mil, moved house, you name it it happened)sad]
I have a very patient dh

HelloMama · 30/03/2005 15:49

For me it was 3 weeks. Was really scared as had had lots of stitches (ouch!) but with a patient DH and lots of extra lube it was really ok. I actually cried with relief afterwards.

Keane · 30/03/2005 16:22

ys i am being serious, i have said it befor eon here

KirstyG · 30/03/2005 20:54

Well i gave my hubby a blowjob 2 days after getting out of hospital but still waiting to have sex.

gemcrystal · 30/03/2005 21:45

I waited about 6 to 8 weeks, a little after bleeding stopped.
Cant believe someone had sex in hospital after birth and to leave baby crying doing it!!!

Hulababy · 30/03/2005 21:46

Just before the 6 week check.

cornflake · 30/03/2005 21:59

We took 3 weeks although sore with stitches etc. About 6 weeks to be more back to normal. This will sound very gushy but did anyone just really want to make love because you and partner were so elated about the new little person you'd just created? Getting toned up again helped , with pram pushing, yoga and swimming.

KirstyG · 31/03/2005 05:17

cornflake, totally understand! I've totally fallen in love with my husband all over again

bobbybob · 31/03/2005 07:42

About 3 weeks, once lochia had stopped and I had started swimming again. Figured if I could swim...

I think we were just interested in seeing if it all still worked.

skerriesmum · 31/03/2005 08:01

I waited about three months and although not excruciating it wasn't plain sailing as I had had stitches.

Slave2Babe · 01/04/2005 23:03

I think for us it was about 8 weeks but I remember it being quite painful . I had a c-section but things still didn't feel right.

DD is now 5 months and I think we have had sex 3 times since she was born. Its not that we dont want to or that it hurts anymore - we're just both soooooooo tired!!
