Oh dear Cod
Great that Sister and kids are coming on your hols and brother managed to pull some strings though

youcannotbeserious · 11/08/2008 10:46

sorry to hear that... Why has she hidden the paperwork? From her husband or from you?

GLad she has some support. She does need to keep focussed right now and work towards securing the best settlement for the kids.

HuwEdwards · 11/08/2008 10:46

well, at least your sis has a plan now, rather than this never-ending dithering and walking on egg-shells whilst waiting for him to make his mind up (or change it). V. sorry for your sis.

hippipotami · 11/08/2008 10:46

Oh bugger

But good in a way that the decision has been made and things are being set in progress.

Good for your ds that she has you and other family around her.

Has bil taken his midlife crisis to ow now?

Oh crap. It wasn't looking good for the start, though. Your poor sister

ShinyPinkShoes · 11/08/2008 10:49

Very sorry to hear this Cod.

Your sister is so lucky to have such a supportive family; I know things will probably feel very crap right now but with you propping her up she is sure to be okay very soon.

CountessDracula · 11/08/2008 10:49

Oh bugger
sorry

Still tbh it sounds like she is well rid of him.

cocolepew · 11/08/2008 10:50

Why do you have some sympathy for bil?

I can't begin to think how I would be if this happened to one of my DDs...breakdown or not, I rather think I'd want his testicles on a pitchfork.

DillyTanty · 11/08/2008 10:56

aw your poor sis and family, your mum must want to murder him. i would, at any rate. silly arsehole.

ImnotOK · 11/08/2008 10:56

Oh God. Its all happening now isn't it, although probably for the best in a way.

Use this holiday to talk, to laugh, to re-charge batteries and come out strong
(both of you that is, as it sounds like you'll need to be strong to support her through this too)

theSuburbanDryad · 11/08/2008 11:03

Well this may not be the popular view but this sounds like a v positive step from where i am (on my sofa and possibly not in best place to comment).

She is well rid of the tosser and he can go and philander elsewhere. Not that it won't be very hard for your sister and the kids - but it will be easier than the Not Knowing that was going on before.

You sounds like a lovely family. Hope you have a relaxing holiday.
