I found this in my bed.

I found this in my bed. It was under the duvet cover on my side when I got home from work this other day. I'm married. Husband works from home.

I know what I think it is but I just can't believe it.

Could it be something other than a condom wrapper? I've convinced myself it's off something else, some sort of other packet.

'Ask him'. Yes he'll definitely spill the beans!

Mine did when I asked him. It's not wrong to have an adult conversation with another adult. Preferable to going all 'Inspector Gadget' with spying equipment.

After 7 hours, hundreds of bits of advice, tips and questions, THAT is the post you deign to respond to??

🤔🙄

I am sorry, I don't understand your anecdote about your bed. Why did you keep telling DH to make the bed again and again?.

Because apparently he couldn't make it perfectly so he wasn't the person who made it.

Mildorado · 22/11/2025 16:42

He'll give something away. He'll know he's been found out.
It'll start the ball rolling.

It won’t, it will just let him know she’s onto him and if he is doing anything it’s letting him know to be more clever/hide his tracks better, if you want to catch someone out you have to investigate and literally catch them out. From someone who’s been in a similar situation with a toxic cheating liar 🤣

Honestly, the majority won’t. Luckily yours admitted everything but most males will just give the run around and gaslight gaslight gaslight

I'm sorry you went through this. Reading some of these threads makes me appreciate my good fortune.
What I'm suggesting is not playing the silly lying games or setting up electronic surveillance. In all honesty, I think the marriage here isn't great and the OP should be wise enough to start planning the exit phase

Exactly. The whole point of mn is asking strangers on the internet for their opinion!

That was also my take on it.

Imapebble · 22/11/2025 17:22

Last year i posted a 'what is this' thread with a similar photo, only what I found was the edge of a pregnancy test wrapper.

I knew what it was but was hoping someone would come along with a different idea as it definitely wasn't mine.

Long story short, I found out in July this year DH had been cheating on me for 2 years with a 'friend' he had met at the local pub.

Before that I would've bet my life he would never cheat on me.

This!

If he is cheating the op needs confirmation which is achieved by snooping. Asking a cheat if he's cheating is a waste of everyone's time. It will alert them and they'll become ultra careful. There may be an innocent explanation because I highly doubt he'd take such a risk in the family home if he were up to no good, so watch wait and snoop would be my advice.

Why would he use a condom if he’s had the snip????

I mean sure to stop STD’s but condoms don’t stop all of them. Herpes wouldn’t stopped for example

I mean it’s just effort????

mini124 · 22/11/2025 17:26

Girl, I know it’s hard but say nothing. It can’t prove anything. If you confront, you give him opportunities to cover tracks in future. Act cool & smooth whilst gathering your evidence. Plant some sort of recording device. Once you get your evidence then confront him !

RedCarded · 22/11/2025 17:26

Luckykittycat · 21/11/2025 19:55

Just mind that some men use a condom when they fly solo as well!

Do women really still believe this?

As a previous poster suggested, maybe another woman was at the house and left the wrapper there to cause trouble, and not that it was actually used at the time. And it’s having the desired effect.

EsmehascousinsfromBarnsley · 22/11/2025 17:41

Might it be the lotion sachet from a Tenga Egg?

Joeninety · 22/11/2025 17:47

Maybe should try leaving an AA battery on his side of the bed ?

Bunnybear42 · 22/11/2025 17:52

if he is suddenly be nicer/ more attentive, helpful even that’s a red flag to me. Not for cheating (for me) but drug taking and got manipulative behaviour when I dared question it … finally i had enough after 20 years of marriage a few months ago. I hope you get the truth from him and can more forward x

Yes this was me for years, depressed and getting gaslighted so badly but deep down I knew for years there was something going on with my partner so I started snooping and soon enough caught him at his flat with another girl. It was soo awful because I was actually pregnant at the time with his child who is now 7!

Arlanymor · 22/11/2025 17:26

Obviously not lucky but you know obviously what I mean. I mean is it not better for them to admit it than completely gaslight you and lie and F with your mental health and make out your a nutter. I’d much rather know the truth no matter how hard than someone lie to my face and try to convince me that I’m crazy!

Missmarie87 · 22/11/2025 18:17

Men will lie until the solid evidence is in their face and still try and lie! Keep quiet about it, do some digging, don’t forget and something else will come out if he is lying to you, I hope your ok things like this would drive me insane!

Still prevents (or reduce likelyhood) of majority of STDs. Just because its not 100% proof doesn't mean he shouldn't bother

It's right though. It's your husband, your problem. No one else's. If you aren't willing to do anything about it and be so passive when he's been screwing around, then why bother? And I can't believe that you would be so naive to think it's anything other than a bleedin condom wrapper!
