I found this in my bed.

I found this in my bed. It was under the duvet cover on my side when I got home from work this other day. I'm married. Husband works from home.

I know what I think it is but I just can't believe it.

Could it be something other than a condom wrapper? I've convinced myself it's off something else, some sort of other packet.

Ugh. I’m so sorry.

GrossGreed · 22/11/2025 07:11

A secret camera feels like the only way. I am sorry OP I don’t know how people carry on as normal whilst they gather evidence. I am far more impulsive and would be going immediately to confront my husband. Which is probably the wrong thing to do.

Lennonjingles · 22/11/2025 07:42

I would put it back in bed, some bits his side, some my side, get into bed and say “what the hell is this” and see what DH has to say.

Chat GPT says it’s from McDonalds, ketchup packet for the red one but condome for the other. This must feel mind blowing for you.

i would read this post out to your husband as though it is someone else’s pist and ask him for his opinion on it. Sorry. You must be feeling so churned up.x

Edited

Am I being dim? It isn't two wrappers, it's two sides of the same one?

A PP has literally posted photos of the exact same type of condom wrapper.

Are you’re friendly with any of your neighbours who have a ring doorbell? you don’t even need to explain, just say you’ve had a parcel go missing, and see if any cars or people arrive

I’m so sorry you’re going through this OP, I hope you have family and friends who can support you

That's what I thought....it's a bit brazen. She would have had to drive here and risk being seen coming in the house. FFS, I don't know what to think.

It may have fallen out of his pocket when he’s sat on the bed, if it seems unlikely he would have invited her to your house.
You need to show it to him and ask him where it’s come from and see what he comes up with….but I wouldn’t believe anything that wasn’t him having sex with someone else.

KimuraTan · 22/11/2025 07:50

@Bugsandbeds Recording device under bed that’s voice activated? https://www.kentfaith.co.uk/GW63.0001_mini-voice-activated-recorder-magnetic-64g-800-hours-capacity-noise-cancelling

Have any of your neighbours got Ring doorbells or cameras that overlook your front door? Mine had a wide range and I narrowed it down but still captures other properties such as 2/3 houses opposite and both adjacent houses. Worth a knock IMO. Gather more evidence before you confront or he’ll be more sneaky.

Mini Recorder Voice| Voice Activated Voice Recorders

This voice activated recorder is designed with a strong built-in magnet, and it can firmly attach to any metal surface like a desk, computer host, refrigerator, car seat, etc.

I'm impressed at people's ability to lie, seriously. All these creative stories at the drop of a hat!
I would just ask him about it, but then I don't have the stomach for all this furtive behaviour.

Yes, I agree. It doesn't necessarily mean it happened in the house. Talking to him and asking for an explanation is the best way forward, rather than setting up surveillance equipment.

bigboykitty · 22/11/2025 07:54

Loads of people cheat in their own bed. It didn't 'fall out of his pocket'. He won't admit it if confronted.

Regardless of where it’s happened he’s the only one that lives there that would have used it.
OP doesn’t quite rightly trust her husband, why draw it out and try and catch him ‘at it’. If he denies it, there is no logical reason for it to be in the house, he’s the only one with a penis… Drawing it out and tying herself up in knots trying to get to the bottom of it will drive the OP crazy.
Ask him about it, see what he says but either way we all know the truth and the marriage is over anyway unless the OP can overlook infidelity if the ‘DH’ wants to stay once found out.

Fluffsicles · 22/11/2025 08:08

Yes, preservativo is condom, as you can see part written on the wrapper. I'd get tiny cameras personally.

Yes, absolutely this.

Just mind that some men use a condom when they fly solo as well!

No they don't. It’s the oldest excuse. 🙄

IberianBlackout · 22/11/2025 08:20

It’s what you think it is, it says it quite clearly on the left in different languages.

Bug the whole place and then decide what to do about it. IME they never admit until you have absolutely undeniable proof, and even then they’ll say the most ridiculous, far fetched story they can think of. Truly baffling.

I’m really sorry, OP.

Yes, remember that old Shaggy song 'It wasn't me'.

Same. All this stuff about asking neighbours to look at Ring cameras or put recording devices under the bed. I'm sure some people do this but not most surely. If I felt driven to put a recording device under the bed I think my marriage would be over anyway. I would just ask. Yes, he could lie. But I would rather have it out with him that play private detective.

Mildorado · 22/11/2025 08:28

Yes, I agree, @BeaRightThere . If you're at the stage of installing surveillance, setting up convoluted scenarios and lying to neighbours about it all, then the marriage is over.

Photos

It looks like a condom wrapper, but i thought from the length, unless it just looks bigger in the pic, that it looks too big. But then it says ‘1 preservative’ well can see the beginning of the word, but on the left, the end of that word. Which preservative to me from what I knew, is what I have heard someone say, for a condom. Which it must be called in other countries maybe.

Imdunfer · 22/11/2025 08:31

When has a 25mm diameter circle inside a packet branded Durex, who make nothing else that size, ever been anything but a condom? Condom wasn't a word anyone in my teens used, that happened after the HIV safe sex campaigns. Until then Durex was the word used for a condom, like hoover for cleaning the carpet.

I'm so sorry OP, I hope this has an innocent explanation but I can't think of one.

TheThingOnTheIce · 22/11/2025 08:32

I was gonna suggest calmly asking to see his phone but these days with WhatsApp etc there’s ways to double and triple lock down messages you still might not find anything

I don’t know what I’d do

i found used condoms in my last relationship and got fed the ‘posh wank’ line . The last straw was used bondage tape. No excuse for that but he still tried.

I think you just need to ask him and judge his reaction . Can’t see any excuse for this in a marriage though .

Sassylovesbooks · 22/11/2025 08:33

I'd put the wrapper back exactly where you found it. When you go to bed, pretend it's the first time you've seen it, and ask him what a condom wrapper is doing in the bed? Of course, he could always throw this one back at you, pretend it's nothing to do with him, and accuse you of bringing someone home. I think a man using a condom for a 'posh wank', is a myth. There may be a very very small minority of men who do this, but the vast majority of men don't, after all if sex feels nicer without, why would a man use one to go solo?!!! Makes no sense. If he's had a vasectomy then he has no need to have condoms on him or use them. It's possible the wrapper has fallen from a pocket, as he'd have to be stupid to bring someone back to the house and use the marital bed. However, if he's thinking with his dick, then doing something stupid like that is highly possible!!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

By all means you could install a camera, however what if your Husband isn’t having sex on a regular basis with someone?

You could be potentially waiting a long time in anguish while you await some kind of footage of a random person entering your house and I would worry about the psychological effects this would have on you op.

What if he had hired a prostitute once and felt guilty after and decided he wouldn’t do it again - you’d be waiting forever for someone on camera and it wouldn’t happen. Or what if he hires a prostitute but he does this once a month or less frequently? That would be a long and tormenting time for you to wait for an answer. How would you cope in the meantime?

Often men having affairs can't help but bring up the person they're having the affair with. The new running lady that's been so hard done by sounds highly suspicious. Obviously not a nice person, if she is the person involved with OP's husband, and odd he's so concerned with her being treated well but would screw over his wife. People will lie and lie, and if you do want accountability then cameras or phone access. A condom wrapper in the bed is just unacceptable, hoping it's a butt plug cover as someone suggested, although doubtful.

Intervaldrinks · 22/11/2025 08:48

Do you have any door cameras so you could see if there were any visitors ?
