Husband slapped friend in a bikinis bum when drunk.

Yesterday we were all having a few drinks and then everyone started getting more and more drunk. All day my husband had been kind of grabbing my bum when people were not looking, I kind of thought that was a sacred thing. However at the end of the night my friend who can be quite let’s say, loose, when she is drunk, was dancing around in a bikini most the night since someone told her to take her shorts off. Anyway she purposely kept bending over “cleaning cupboards” and dancing, the ratio was 2: women to 5 men including me and my husband. She had been kind of handsy with all the men throughout the night, I saw at one point she tried to kiss my husbands cheek but he did pull away
about an hour or two later My husband walks past and slaps her on the side of her body, I’m not sure if it was her bum but it still was wildly inappropriate and I felt disgusted. He is saying he doesn’t even remember doing it and just says I apologize, but I don’t feel like that’s good enough?

any advice on how to deal with this? Am I wrong?

I’m now thinking what would have happened if I wasn’t there, and it wasn’t my friend, can he handle himself when he is drunk or will he give into temptation.

It doesn’t matter how she was behaving.. she could have been totally naked and grinding him but he should never touch her.

And of course the same should apply for women behaving that way with men, shouldn’t it. So in fact she tried to assault him first by the attempted kiss? Or is that different?

What on earth does this mean?

Well you need to touch to grind!

Confuuzed · 06/07/2025 17:16

So.. it's her fault your gross husband can't keep his hands to himself?

He's a pervert.

jaws33 · 06/07/2025 17:17

slapping someone on the bum doesn't mean your a pervert. I've done it to male & female friends.

WorcsEdu · 06/07/2025 17:19

I’m not particularly tolerant of this kind of behaviour BUT I’d say this is ‘big talk’ category not ‘marriage ended’ category.

pharmer · 06/07/2025 17:21

A man in our local area narrowly escaped jail for slapping a woman's arse as she walked past him. Had the man not employed several people, the judge said he would have handed down a custodial sentence. Instead he was
given a community order, placed on the sex offenders register for 5 years ordered to pay £3009 in costs and given a 10 year restraining order. All this in addition to having his name in all the papers - he has a wife and 3 children.

I think he remembers doing it but it’s easier for him to just say he doesn’t. I wouldn’t be upset with my friend but I would be furious with my husband.

100 % This....until he can actually be honest & genuinely apologise for slapping this woman's ass then keep him at arms length. Her behaviour was far from ideal but it was him that put his hand on her drunk or not! Does she have a husband or partner, we're they there to witness how she was conducting herself? In future I would be selecting my friends a bit more carefully and your husband needs to honestly accept the way he's behaved and apologise for it!

They sound as bad as each other!

Sounds like an episode of Open House on Channel 4! 😬

Isthisnormal10000 · 06/07/2025 17:22

This sounds like a very messy party.
I had a friend like this in my late teens, we ditched her. She was an absolute nightmare to go anywhere with, she would footplay with everyones boyfrjends under the table at dinner, drape herself all over them, lick their faces etc.. we arent prudes but she was another level.
What on earth was she doing dancing around sticking her bum out in bikini bottoms in a ratio of 5 men to 3 women.
Your husband was out of order but honestly I think you should have wrapped up this party and gone home or sent everyone home before it got to this.
Thats if you don't like this kind of thing.

Hmm I think she started it with trying to assault the husband by trying to kiss him?

She’s a pervert!

He was obviously drunk, as were others. One of those things.

So you are one of those people who forgives ons when people are drunk? People can do anything when they are drunk? That's their "get out"? Your wedding vows only mean anything when you are sober?

Tidekiln · 06/07/2025 17:30

Disturbia81 · 06/07/2025 16:31

Exactly.. it’s like when women think their poor men have been tempted away from them for affairs and one night stands like some helpless creature. It is ALL on men not to be sleazy, perverted, handsy.

Edited

If she described her friend as loose I take that to mean she thinks she is a bit of a slapper. It also sounds like the woman was being way more sleazy and handsy than the man. It's not all on men how women behave.

That sounds like a completely different scenario to what happened here!

Sarahnetheands · 06/07/2025 17:49

jaws33 · 06/07/2025 17:11

I asked her a few times if she wants to put clothes on and she just replied “am I hanging out?” Obviously trying to get the men to imagine her “hanging out”.

What? Why is that obvious? And surely the men can imagine it without her saying it?

She meant is her vagina hanging out.

Your husband sounds like a perve. Gross behaviour from him.

HunnyPot · 06/07/2025 17:50

What the hell did I just read?

gottalottodo · 06/07/2025 17:52

She sounds like a wrongun. I’d bet your husband did it automatically because he does it to you. He probably isn’t used to women who aren’t you dancing around him with her arse out.

I cant make sense out of any of it.

WhenYouSayNothingAtAll · 06/07/2025 18:00

You need to find better friends, stop drinking and tell your husband to keep his hands to himself or you’re done. Not necessarily in that order.

Livpool · 06/07/2025 18:01

WTAF

This is one of the weirdest thing I have just read!

@gottalottodo so you mean he thought it was me?! Or just didn’t care that it wasn’t?
