Bedsheets and sex

I'm currently enjoying a new relationship, and we're having a lot of sex 🙂... every night we're together. I've not had that for a very long time!

Do those of you lucky enough to be in my position change your bedsheets every night (like I currently do), or put up with a "wet patch" and crusty sheets the next evening, or do something different (I used to put a towel down in my last relationship but sex was more planned then - now it's spontaneous and stopping to go get a towel kinda breaks the mood!)

I've only got two sheets and with work and other pressures, one of these days I'm. It going to have a clean sheet to put on! I may have to buy more! I can't be the only one with this dilemma.

I think maybe just don't think into it too much? And yes alot of the time it is the woman leaking during sex. We've all been there doing the dribble jiggle to the bathroom, if I don't want it to all come out I wedge something there quickly like a sock or an item of clothing we have removed 😭 yes I know! And it gets washed so it's all fine 😅

One of you is producing too much liquid during your encounters.

There can never be too much ;)

annoyedatlandlord · 31/01/2024 22:49

This makes me despair. Sex doesn’t leave enough fluid to warrant a sheet change. Unclench.

Thepollonator · 31/01/2024 22:51

This thread is hilarious, thanks all for making my day.
By the way I have a sex towel! 😆

Wet patch every time - he "produces" a lot 😮

Doesn't the wet patch mostly come from the woman??

annoyedatlandlord · 31/01/2024 22:52

The people using a towel - so during sex, you rigidly stick to one position (presumably missionary) for the duration? Have you ever had sex where you’re moving around and being passionate rather than stressing about where a towel is?

Boyce · 31/01/2024 22:53

OhItsOnlyCynthia · 31/01/2024 16:35

Could you keep the sex towel by the bed?

"Sex towel" brilliant 🤣🤣🤣

Plantmother71 · 31/01/2024 23:21

Well no because you don’t lie directly on the towel, you just use it to mop up afterwards

CharlotteLightandDark · 31/01/2024 23:29

Unless I have my period, then I might lie directly on the towel.

we’re talking about a hand towel, not a full side one

This , we finish , both get given a tissue , go to bathroom - very rarely end up with a wet patch . Simple.

Who's there handing out the tissues. Do they wait outside then appear at the finish or stand by the bed during and hand out on completion.

cordeliachaseatemyhandbag · 31/01/2024 23:36

In a new relationship you should be using condoms.

No itchy nasties and no wet patches. Win win.

RTFT. They tested fior STIs.

Aroundthewaygirl · 31/01/2024 23:43

I would have to change the sheets each time, I wouldn’t be able to sleep on wet crusty sheets. Blech.

so either I have towels nearby or buy extra sheets. Sometimes I put a throw blanket over the sheets then can just take that to gf afterwards.

LorlieS · 31/01/2024 23:48

@Aroundthewaygirl Being dense... what's gf?

Semen and Bum were the firm of solicitors I used to get off my speeding fine.

@Marineboy67

yeah, they could use a whole different bed each time!!

Oh, I was visualising a quick shag on the showroom worktops.

Paperdolly · 31/01/2024 23:59

Have you thought of telling him to bring a sleeping bag when he sleeps over? At it like a caterpillar and no washing for you. Win win situation.

Surgarblossom · 01/02/2024 02:21

LorlieS · 31/01/2024 22:32

Who on earth has time to wash and dry bedsheets every time they have a shag?!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

CupOfCoffeeandaPineappleChunk · 01/02/2024 02:53

Cling film. Just wrap your matress in it before you go to bed. Watertight so stops the sweat penetrating bedding and mattress too, then whip it off and throw it away once you've DTD and are refreshed

Actually for years we're DTD, he's handed me tissue as soon as he's come out which I've kind of stuck there until I've gone in to the bathroom and washed down etc. It catches any drips so they don't leak anywhere innate instantly. If you are having so much sex, there can't be a sych vast quantities being produced all the time. We've had so few times with a wet patch over 20+ years with so much sex. ( and no bum smell🤣)

It does for us, mostly me. If he puts the effort in.

Sextalknc · 01/02/2024 04:28

Sex towel here. (Comforting to see how common this is on here actually.)

Ideally sex on the towel, it doesn't limit positions and me moving the towel has never put either of us off. DH barely notices depending on position.
Not using a towel sometimes means I hold back and don't allow myself to orgasm. But still need to use a towel after to sleep on for a small wet patch unless it's between us.

The rare times I don't get a towel and don't hold back means definitely changing the sheets before sleeping, so towel is the best approach.

I definitely need more sheets though too. It's a PITA to find ones the colour I need and deep enough for the mattress!

Hibye23289 · 01/02/2024 04:59

@Paperdolly a caterpillar 🤣🤣

Ladyof2022 · 01/02/2024 05:13

Supermarket sheets cost £5 to £8. Just get him to pay for a few instead of coming on here with your stealth boast.

Josette77 · 01/02/2024 05:29

What dribbles out later? Semen from which person? I've never known a penis to dribble later, and my vagina has never done that either?
