What has a guy done that instantly made you lose interest?

The ones that spring to mind:

  • Thought Jordan Peterson 'had some interesting ideas.
  • Used 'female' as a noun.
  • Let me pay half. I always offered, but if you let me, there would be no second date.
  • Really poor spelling and grammar. Not the occasional mistake or lapse (we all make them), practicaly unintelligible messages.
  • Said he 'wasn't a reader'
  • Was a picky eater.
  • Was teetotal.
  • Was religious.
  • Wore a chain.
  • Didn't drink water.

The dating pool has pee in it and, on top of that, I'm fairly unreasonable. I'm very happy I met my husband. 🤣

Man 1: Fussed over his exact change with a taxi driver, even though he was a senior consultant and on £££

Man 2: Cried because I don't have OCD. Also squirted antibacterial gel into my hands without asking after we kissed the first time.

Man 3: Was very willing and able to provide lectures on conspiracies about the pyramids for a considerable length of time. He was also unable to perceive when his audience had lost interest.

He ran off crying because I don't have the same extreme passion for cleaning he has. He is like that because he has pretty severe OCD so it really wasn't a passion I could share.

This thread is funny. There may be some extreme reasons, but good for you. Far less depressing than reading the usual mn dating threads ie. He never bathes, hates my kids and calls me a bitch, what can I do to get him to love me?

Smelt of cheap sausages and gravy. He was a really nice guy, doted on me, but was quite boring. He came over to my flat to watch a film and have a bottle of wine, suggested heavily he’d like to stay. I went with it but he smelt overwhelmingly of the dinner his mum had done him.You know like that cooking smell you sometimes get in old people’s homes. Veg boiled to fuck. Put me right off. Finished with him 2 days later.
Probably would have been a really nice husband tbh. I always liked the dramatic shitty boyfriends sadly.

Yup, he married a nice girl and now dotes on her and the kids he pulls his weight with. But every Sunday they HAVE to go to his Mom's for lunch and she boils those veggies till they give up all fight. You don't need teeth for those carrots 🥕🥕🤣

That way you only get men who will pay for you and you don't have to play games that backfire

No, because then you get men who wouldn’t naturally be inclined to pay doing so because they want to date you. I didn’t want that.

And there was no way it could backfire. If they wanted to split it, we split it and I knew they weren’t for me. It was an excellent weeding exercise and worth every penny, imo.

But backfire I mean you end up on a date paying for a meal you never wanted to pay for and only offered to test them. It's just game playing.

Didn't agree with mixed relationships as in between different ethnicities. He might even have added "I'm not racist but...."

Could walk out instantly cos I was in his car on the motorway and didn't have the confidence to say turn the car around I'm done!
