So you love everything you've seen so far (relationship of 2 months) and he shows you some photos on his phone, but tells you he had to delete the filth that his mates send him (says he deletes it straight away normally). When I ask him what filth he says, for example a normal comedy clip which turns into porn at the end as a joke. Also his friends share stuff on the Xbox. What would you think?
Can't help feeling disappointed really and surprised as he didn't see the type. Says he doesn't send it, they send it to him.
Thoughts anyone?

Funny how it's never men who feature in these 'jokes'...

It’s because they don’t want to / need to humiliate men, that’s only for women.
I remember a gay man saying how he ’had to’ watch straigh porn, because he was into some ”fucked up” shit and gay porn didn’t have that.
Really says it all, doesn’t it.
Maybe one day more women start to check their
internalized misogyny, instead of laughing at women who don’t want to deal with men like this.

Exactly.

Even outside of porn, I'm am absolutely sick of sitting down to watch yet another film/TV programme where the only point of the female characters is to provide sexual interest for male viewers.

Even the ones with 'strong female characters' carry a strong sexualised element. It's just to appeal to a different sort of man.

It's no wonder men view us in this way when it's everywhere.

I'm in a group chat with 4 women and 2 men I've known since teens and we do send immature and sexual memes/videos/jokes in. It wouldn't bother me. If it bothers you, don't go there.

SAYS he can't.
MEANS he won't.

Yes, he can.

I have the settings in my WhatsApp set so that any photos/media sent in the chats does not automatically download in to my phone's gallery/Google photos etc, so they only show up in the actual chat on the app. He can turn it off, he just doesn't want to. The only media that ends up "on my phone" in the sense that it would show up on Google Photos or my cloud or whatever, is media I've actually chosen to "save".

@BlueSlate I recently watched lots of episodes of the old series Spooks and noticed the young blonde attractive woman spy was hit in the face by a man in some episodes and there was always a close up of her bloodied face. Why was that, I wonder.......

Yeah, I wonder... 🙄

I've pretty much got to the point now where I don't watch anything. Watching stuff and knowing it hasn't been made with me or women in mind and is only made to appeal to men is just so unappealing.

I hate this, because I love horror movies, but once I realised that so many of them are just about young and attractive women being scared/tortured/killed/punished etc, they got ruined for me.

Same.

And they always seem to be in their underwear/see through clothes when it happens.

I was watching one with a friend once and made an "ooh that was a bad move!" type comment when the girl went outside in the dark to investigate a scary noise.

His reply? "Nah, she's wearing too many clothes."

A short while later, she went to investigate another noise outside, in the dark, in her bra and knickers. And he said, "Now she's in trouble."

He was right

Women have no value unless men are sexually aroused by them

I pretty much don't watch films with my boyfriend anymore.

What's the point? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wow, thanks everyone!
Thanks to the poster who reminded people that he was showing me his photos.
We've chatted and he said that it's not some seedy group of men sharing porn, and that he wouldn't be involved in that. It's general chit chat and that there was a Family Guy clip which ended in a porn noise. I did get the impression that he gets sent general filth, but maybe that was me overreacting. But why call it filth? And not sure why he mentioned it.
