Does anyone still French kiss?

I'm 42 and we've been married 10 years. We only really French kiss during foreplay or sex. Used to do it more when we were younger. Does anyone still Frenchy? Is there an upper age limit.?

How do you have a passionate kiss without using tongues? Sorry I'm too lazy to scroll back to find the poster names, but for those who don't like tongue, how do you kiss then?? Is it just pecking on the lips??

I don't. I really don't like it. I find it intrusive.

That's not quite the right word but i can't think of a more accurate one. It's too close and too intimate and I don't really like to be touched.

Luckily I am married to a man who also thinks a polite wave from across the bedroom is more than enough 🤣

elp30 · 06/12/2022 16:25

This thread has been interesting.

I've been married for nearly 27 years and we kiss like that daily.

We have a big kiss (with and without tongues) whilst we wait for the kettle to boil or while we are waiting for the bread to toast or any other small snippet of time that we catch. It's a nice part of our day.

This is fascinating. I have snogged a lot of people in my life and it has always involved tongue (mostly men, a couple of women). No-one has even expressed surprise at use of tongue - including long term partners who would definitely tell me if they thought it was strange. Often the other person puts tongue in first so it's definitely not just me. Surely a full on snog involves tongue, otherwise it's just mouth rubbing?

I've kissed so many people I've lost count (100+) and I'd say it's 95% a French kiss/snog. The rest either just do the motions but with no tongue or physically can't get their tongue out of their mouth because it's too short.

PearlAlice · 06/12/2022 17:22

Ha! It's like a thesis! I love this! I've only ever kissed six men in my life, and it's always been with tongue involvement. I didn't even imagine there was any other kind. So the method without tongues, is that just (in a non-weird way) like when a baby mouths you on the cheek, shaking their head about excitedly? That's what I'm thinking of. None of this has ever occurred to me before! How interesting 🤔

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 06/12/2022 17:24

It has been very interesting. I've kissed...more than six men and there's always been tongue involvement too. Do the people who don't like tongue involvement state that at the outset, or lead by example and then say so if the other party hasn't clicked?

Boooooot · 06/12/2022 17:31

Thankfully I’ve only ever come across one man who stuck his tongue in my mouth 🤢

Snogging yes. French kissing no fucking way.

What do you think French Kissing is? Or alternatively, what do you think snogging is?

Snogging is passionate kissing. French kissing is the same but with tongues.

What? 😳

Ok. I'm not asking for anymore detail. I just don't personally see how that would work - im picturing Barbie and Action Man been mashed together by a clumsy 8 year old.

There are some people who can't get their tongue past their teeth. It's just too short.

It's not massively common but it happens.

Nyedilemma · 06/12/2022 17:46

I'm not aure how passionate a kiss can be without tongues, doesn't it just come naturally.

I was "French Kissed" (although I don't think I could say that out loud) at the weekend. Very early stages of what may or may not become a sexual relationship and lots of alcohol involved but within a relationship I don't really.know how you'd do it without it leading to sex, so not something I'd expect to happen unless sex was on the cards.

I do really love a good snog though, it's one of the reasons I'm not in a rush to sleep with him!

Dontsayyouloveme · 06/12/2022 17:46

Tongues… standard!

Mydogatemypurse · 06/12/2022 17:48

All the time

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 06/12/2022 17:50

A proper kissing session (as in not just a peck on the lips) can be very passionate without tongues. We do with or without but it’s never not passionate.

Leakyroofagain · 06/12/2022 17:56

Dentures in or out ??
🤣

BMW6 · 06/12/2022 18:06

DH and I (mid 60's) still kiss every day and sometimes snog, very occasionally touch touching in foreplay or dtd, but neither of us ever went in for Full on tongue wrestling. Not a fan at all.

Easy to snog without tongue- yours just sits behind your lower teeth and stays there!

Hate hate hate dribbly, slobbery kissers. Kiss me once like that, never kiss me again!

Gunner1510 · 06/12/2022 18:21

When me and my ex used to French kiss sometimes bizarrely he’d slip his finger in as well. I didn’t much appreciate the finger 👈

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 06/12/2022 18:24

Ugh no I can’t stand slobbery kissing either. I’m so lucky I picked a man who kisses me just the way I like it (tbf I wouldn’t have picked a man who didn’t!).

WOPTF · 06/12/2022 19:18

We're mid 40s and together almost 20 years. We never snog/French kiss unless having sex and rarely even then.
Actually we had sex last week and I was really hurt that he didn't want to kiss me after the first 5 seconds...it felt really impersonal and saddened me.

Hopelesslove · 06/12/2022 20:08

Love a good kissing session, to include some time with tongues and some time without. It often does lead to sex as it’s such a turn on but will often have a good snog as I’m leaving etc.
absolutely love it!!

Yepsure · 07/12/2022 00:33

EvenMoreFuriousVexation · 05/12/2022 22:18

I would find it really strange to French kiss without the intention of it leading to sex.

Mind you, I think I might be an outlier because I often see women writing on these boards things like "haven't slept with this guy yet but we've kissed and groped" and I'm like... Why would you leave it there? To me it's like going into a restaurant, ordering a starter, eating and enjoying it, then saying "well I'm really hungry but I think I'll just pay the bill and leave now" 🤔

I'm not a touchy feely person in general. Hate holding hands, not keen on cuddling. Love sex though.

A man then

Yepsure · 07/12/2022 00:36

most men I’ve known have been not been too much into the touchy stuff but love sex

VivienneDelacroix · 07/12/2022 00:44

No chance. I have a tongue phobia. In my teens I did just because it was a stand-in for sex, but no - as an adult I'd rather just a shag!
