MH GC affair makes my blood boil

Jenny3412 · 28/11/2022 18:56

Honestly, ‘I’m a Celebrity’ sleaze MH Claiming that he fell in love with GC and that made him leave his family makes my blood boil. How can you leave a family you chose to create? Apparently he woke up his then 8 year old son at 10pm at night to let him know that he was leaving. What sort of psychopath would do that? Absolute lack of empathy. It’s like this is happening to me and it’s ever so important because I have needs, what about the needs of his children. What an idiot.

I didn't watch the program, but did hear about the 'I fell in love' shit. If you fall in love with someone else you don't have a bloody affair. You talk to your wife, you talk to your kids and you leave. Then you can make a new relationship.

That applies to MH and his bloody cheating affair partner. Pair of shits imo

username8888 · 28/11/2022 19:04

His total lack of understanding, compassion and utter utter selfishness is breathtaking, and really shows him up as just another cheap lying adulterer.
PS I don't like him at all or his gf.

NoCoatAndFurKnickers · 28/11/2022 19:05

I don't like that show (or the Tories), so am not that up to speed with what he's said. But the oddest thing for me was that this was the official excuse. As if that would smooth things over. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad for his family.

Elecktra22 · 28/11/2022 19:05

I actually don’t think it’s that easy for some people. It’s also very difficult to say if you’ve not been in that position yourself. To think it’s that easy shows a lack of compassion and insight. Also an affair is usually a symptom of marital problems not the cause

HowzAboutIt · 28/11/2022 19:07

I said to DC yesterday I would be absolutely heartbroken if their Dad was flaunting himself about get thousands of £s on prime time TV after he'd had an affair and walked out on us. I love Celeb, but the pro-Matt giving him votes was sickening. His poor wife and kids

Boooooot · 28/11/2022 19:07

People have affairs all the time. I don’t agree with it but I feel like he’s getting a lot more stick for it purely because he’s Matt Hancock. Many many much adores celebrities have had affairs.

LadyKenya · 28/11/2022 19:08

No one was in his marriage to know how it was. It is his life as well. It is nothing to do with me or anyone else imo.

Catslovepies · 28/11/2022 19:12

I despise MH for his incompetent handling of the pandemic that led to the UK having the highest death toll in Europe and that verges on criminal (protective ring around care homes my arse). The affair is just the icing on the cake which confirms the kind of person he is. If he wanted forgiveness he should have done penance by getting his head down and working hard on behalf of his constituents, not buggering off to perform as a "celebrity" on reality TV. No sympathy from me whatsoever, a vile excuse for a human being.

Quitelikeit · 28/11/2022 19:13

Celebrities have affairs all the time!

I did think it was distasteful when he talked about her in the jungle but he was asked a question

you never know what goes on behind closed doors and how his wife feels about it or if she also knew what he was doing and went along with it

where is the evidence that he woke his child up?

TheChosenTwo · 28/11/2022 19:15

Meh, doesn’t make my blood boil at all, people have affairs all the time, some people reading this will be involved in one right now, shit happens. I think it’s a horrible thing to do to your family and I’ll never understand how you could live a double life like that but his affair doesn’t impact me.
He does make my skin crawl though 🤢 how he convinced TWO women to sleep with him will forever be a mystery to me.

Pandapop101 · 28/11/2022 19:15

And what about Sean? He also cheated but I don’t see him getting the same treatment?

user374698 · 28/11/2022 19:25

Loads of people have affairs, why is he always singled out, concentrate on your own life not someone you don't even know

Marineboy67 · 28/11/2022 19:26

Matt Hancock is a selfservative tory charlatan, he doesn't care about you, me or the thousands of pensioners he sent home to their deaths. His needs and wants came before his wife and kids and he will continue to do so. A vile cockroach character that doesn't deserve anyone's time of day!

user374698 · 28/11/2022 19:28

Why are people so invested in Matt Hancock's life

Croque · 28/11/2022 19:30

I reckon Tory MPs are emotionally literate and could not leave a marriage in an orderly way. He is not the worst among them. Maybe it was a one-off in his case.

They kind of resemble one another and look like a couple more than either did with their respective spouses. She is an upgrade on most counts if I were to judge the situation harshly.

Croque · 28/11/2022 19:30

emotionally illiterate

Croque · 28/11/2022 19:31

He has a book deal. I would possibly read it.

BirmaBrite · 28/11/2022 19:32

I imagine Mrs Hancock the 1st is probably doing just fine without the sleazy, lying knob.

drpet49 · 28/11/2022 19:34

Pandapop101 · 28/11/2022 19:15

I believe he wasn’t married and didn’t have kids with her

Abouttimemum · 28/11/2022 19:34

I agree OP, and also get quite infuriated with ‘celebrating’ blokes like this. Same with Seann Walsh. He treated his ex like shit and his ‘woe is me I’m sorry so it’s ok’ shit was just as bad.
Can’t be arsed with it at all.

Zanatdy · 28/11/2022 19:38

As many others have said, people have affairs every day. Sean didn’t get the same grief for kissing his strictly dance partner, and later her marriage ended (whether related or not we don’t know). It feels like aggrieved wife’s everywhere are piling the blame on MH for their own husbands indiscretions

LadyKenya · 28/11/2022 19:39

user374698 · 28/11/2022 19:25

This. All those people wasting their energy hating on him, all the while he is getting on just fine, living his life.

Eaternotbaker · 28/11/2022 19:39

I completely hear you. Although I don’t think he should suffer forever for his personal choices, it is so obvious that Matt and Gina are trying to launch Some sort of media career off the back of his I’m a celebrity gig.
I hope he gets voted out next election. He has been shady with all the deals he gave out for PPE contracts with tax payers money, not to mention his hypocrisy. He deserves time out of office with no media jobs.
I hope the former spouses of Matt and Gina are doing well and the children thriving.

Dweetfidilove · 28/11/2022 19:42

I don't condone affairs and know they have awful consequences, but I do wonder every time I see - end it before you start another relationship- if people actually believe that is better.

Darling, I know have been married for 20 years and have these beautiful kids, shared lives, responsibilities etc, but I've fallen in love with someone else, so need to end this marriage so I can start my new relationship.

I just don't see how that makes a break up any easier. You're still absconding, still leaving a wife and children behind, hearts /vows will still be broken etc.

Just thinking 🤔

headstone · 28/11/2022 19:43

I do feel for his real wife, such a dignified beautiful lady. However it appears all men in the public eye are at it. If you want loyalty better get a dog.
