It's a knickers one!

NC for this
So a few weeks ago I found a pair of knickers in the wash, not mine, definitely not DD's (she's 18). Asked dd if she knows whom they belonged to, she didn't and I forgot about it. I didn't automatically jump to the suspecting of dh.
Today these knickers have reappeared in the wash pile, to be fair they were in with the pile of 'clothes nobody really wears or wants anymore' pile but it got me thinking, who do these belong to? They're a size 16 from George at Asda.,
I said to DH oh must be your fancy woman's, he obviously denied it and was asking who's they were.
He's not screaming lying cheating pr1ck to me but on the other hand, where have they come from ?

Do you have a dog? Do you have foxes in your garden? They often steal clothing and may have dropped them in your garden. If I were taking in laundry from on the washing line and there were an item of clothing on the ground, I'd throw it in the basket, assuming it had gone off the line.

Itstimetoquit · 22/08/2022 21:44

I would jump to that conclusion, they belong to somebody! Unless he's a secret cross dresser? They dont just appear!

GreenIsle · 22/08/2022 21:44

Would they fit your husband?

Heartrate · 22/08/2022 21:48

They were washed and in a clean washing pile and then arrived the dirty washing again?

parietal · 22/08/2022 21:48

anyone been to a holiday house (self catering) and might have gathered them up in the laundry by mistake (e.g. if they were left in the washing machine by previous people)?

anyone swim / change / wash / travel where random knickers might end up in their bag or suitcase?

parietal · 22/08/2022 21:49

Also, if DH were guilty of anything, he surely would have tried to hid the evidence after you first found it rather than leave it lying around to find its way back to the laundry.

pet cat or dog?

Creepymanonagoatfarm · 22/08/2022 21:50

Take a pic. See if Asda currently stock them. May give a clue. Old. No worries.. New stock recently purchased.. Maybe a problem.

Smogtopia · 22/08/2022 21:54

At 18 I often had stuff from
Friends houses - both actively borrowed or sometimes scooped up from the floordrobe of my pals room

Chasingclouds100 · 22/08/2022 21:59

Hmmm so a few years ago I was looking for an old t-shirt to wear in my then boyfriends wardrobe and I came across a carrier bag full of womens knickers - they didn’t belong to me and they weren’t new or particularly nice or sexy. I didn’t confront him about it as we weren’t living together but it always bothered me. I still don’t know to this day if they were some sort of trophy items or he liked to use them personally. I wonder where your mystery ones came from though!

Berlinlover · 22/08/2022 22:02

Why do I feel I’ve read this before? Size 16, from George at Asda definitely ringing a bell.

Going by your username you've got more than 1 DC, could they be from a gf of a DS?

TokenGinger · 22/08/2022 22:11

A random pair of somebody else's knickers turned up in my wash basket when I was single and living alone. I came to the conclusion that I possibly collected them up with my towel at the gym after I'd showered by accident and that some poor woman went to work without underwear on that day.

Exactly what i was thinking

wellhelloitsme · 22/08/2022 23:11

Last time this was about a guy who was seeing prostitutes behind that OP's back.

Fingers crossed it isn't the same person though!

NSFWnamechange · 22/08/2022 23:12

Even when I lived alone in college, random stuff would occasionally make it into my washing. Often as harmless as accidentally picking up an extra sock at the gym, which had ended up in my pile! If this happens once, I don’t worry too much.

MrsLeBouef · 22/08/2022 23:32

Where were they put away after being washed the first time?

Pixiedust1234 · 22/08/2022 23:45

If you DDs say it isn't hers/theirs, your DSs girlfriends aren't staying over, and its reappeared in the wash pile I would start wondering if dh is wearing them. Would they fit him?

Geppili · 22/08/2022 23:59

What colour are they?

Mumof4AndAManChild · 23/08/2022 06:43

I haven't posted about this before.
To answer a few questions yes I do have a dog. DS doesn't live at home so they don't belong to a GF of his. They wouldn't fit DH

Throw them away and see if any more appear.

KangarooKenny · 23/08/2022 06:45

Is there someone living in the loft 🤔

I threw them away yesterday

How do you know for sure they aren't anything to do with DD? Are they DD's girlfriends?

Maybe they are your husbands and he's been wearing them?

This is an important question!
