Sitting on husband (or wife) lap

Who still sits on their DP lap? Are you ever too old to do it? Used to sit on DH lap a lot. But now because I'm a bit bigger than him, he sits on mine.

Context please? Playfully on a night out? Sexually?

No. Not unless for some reason we were stuffed in the back of a fiat 500 with 2 other people. Which has never happened to date.

I've lost a lot of weight so started to do this again. Just if he's in the garden having a cig I'll go out and sit on his knee and we will have a chat. It feels nice, like we're young again and I couldn't do it for so long as he is a skinny thing and I was too self conscious.

A - I'd squash him to death, and
B - he has the boniest bum known to mankind.

This is very odd. It’s the kind of think you do in a bar when you’re young and there are no seats available. Not something you do in your living room whilst watching tv.

I mean in your own home or in private sit where you like if you are both happy. Doesn't have to be sexual , if you like it then do it.

In front of others it's a bit childish. Hardly horrifying but a fast way to get a reputation for being attention seeking. I can't think of many scenarios it is a desperate need for an adult to do that it public so would assume its a probably insecure person trying to be a bit look at me.

I mean that's fine no-one is going to arrest you but they will probably laugh behind your back.

Funnily enough this happened a few weeks back at a family jubilee party. There were no seats and my husband saw me looking around for one, so he grabbed my hand and said just sit here, on his lap. We're in our 30s but it actually took me back to being a teenager again, I know I sound strange! But it was nice.

We do both ways round. Because it's lovely cuddles.

Of course, why do people consider in weird?

I quite often sit astride him in a non sexual sort of way and talk for a while, we call it a sit on cuddle.

No. We were the same height and it would be very uncomfortable.
