Find my iPhone

My DP went out last night with friends. He was very late back so I quickly checked Find My iPhone to see if he was in his way. We both do this if either of us are later than anticipated. His location early in the evening was showing as in a town 50 miles away. He has just got a new phone. When he got back I asked him about it and he looked surprised and said he'd no idea why and had never been to that address. I checked it again this morning and his phone was showing him as at home. Can this happen with iPhone locations?

OP I'm sorry to say I had reason to check my H's find my iPhone last month, it was incredibly accurate and I found he'd been back in contact with a woman from 18 years ago (we were together then too).
Needless to say we are no longer together. I think it sounds as though he's lying to you, I still can't believe the shit that came out of my H's mouth when I confronted him. But I knew my gut instinct was correct sadly.

Hmm, what’s on his old phone that’s not on his new one?

@ToTheNextChapter I'm sorry to hear this. I've spoken to a friend about this and googled it and everything points at it's highly unlikely for a phone that sits in a drawer can randomly go to a location 50 miles away. I feel sick with worry over this. I can't find a way of finding out who lives at the address. I almost feel like driving up there but it's a bit mad to do that. I'm really stuck.

You can, via 192.com

@SophSoSo I have looked at that but there are no names and you have to pay to get the full info. Dp is behaving like it's all forgotten but I don't trust him now. I can't deal with things I don't understand. I am watching him closely. He spends a lot of time with a family member most weekends and it has now occurred to me that he might be doing something else. I've never checked on Find My iPhone because I trusted him and only look it under circumstances like Saturday.

Has he genuinely been spending most weekends with a family member?
Can you check?

How has it come to be that he sees this family member every weekend?
When do you get time as a family?

I’d let him think all is forgiven and forgotten. Then I’d be doing some investigation.

Yes I’d go there when not expected and he’s not home. It’s what 40 mins away. Tbh I’d be enlisting a friend and going in their car.

Look at zoopla. See if house listed recently. See if you recognise any photos etc in background.

Look at that woman’s social media. See if any it matches the property.

Total stalker I know but so easy to do. Pm me the info if you want a second pair of eyes!
